"What's on your neck?" Drake asked, smirking. It was the next day after the party. When Nadia and I had left the party early, I had to do a lot of groveling. The entire time, she was glaring at my neck. Finally, I decided to look in the mirror to see what she was staring at.
A hickey.
My face flushed at the memory of Brooklyn leaving kisses on my neck. I quickly shook away the memory and pushed to the back of my head, not wanting to make things worse.
After a few hours of groveling and talking things out, Nadia had finally decided to forgive me. She told me that she wanted to make things official with us finally and I was more than elated to do so.
She was finally mine.
I was over the moon. I had been waiting for this moment for the entirety of our "relationship" but when the time finally came, I thought I would be more happy than this.
Don't get me wrong, I was elated but I wasn't as happy as I thought I would be.
I glared at Drake as he continued to snicker. I knew he knew what happened between Brooklyn and I. I mean everyone knew already.
Even Abby was teasing me about it.
"You're making a huge mistake," Abby told me when I had given her the news that Nadia and I were boyfriend and girlfriend now.
A lot of my friends had actually told me the exact thing that Abby did. I didn't know why because I thought they all liked Nadia.
They all knew how long I had been waiting for this moment.
I knew they felt happy for me but they weren't exactly 100% on boat with this relationship. I didn't care at this moment because I finally got what I've been wanting for so long.
"Hey babe," Nadia greeted me with a kiss on the cheek once she finally finished getting ready.
We had a date planned for today. I was glad things were finally starting to get back to normal. We were going to get dinner at this nice restaurant that I finally saved up enough money for.
Throughout the entire car ride to the restaurant, I found myself wanting to text Brooklyn to clear the air and let her know about Nadia and I. I wanted her to hear it from me before anyone else.
We had a weird dynamic between us and I couldn't deny the obvious attraction.
I decided to just tell her in class on Monday so that Nadia wouldn't get the wrong idea.
That reminded me about the project. Nadia would definitely not be happy about the math project that Brooklyn and I were assigned to do. I felt like it wasn't the best idea to tell her and just try to meet Brooklyn at the library or public places to do the work so nothing could be misconstrued.
"The reservation should be under Jameson Knight," I told the hostess once we arrived at the restaurant. Nadia was wearing a stunning long dress while I was in a nice dress shirt and pants. We wanted to dress up so we wouldn't feel out of place here.
