"I can't believe you actually have a boyfriend now, Brook," Stacey gushed. We were all sat around my room as we finished getting ready for our day out.
"Yeah, how did he ask?" Andrea asked, curling my hair. I had finished doing my makeup and Andrea offered to curl my hair after she did her own and who was I to pass up the offer?
"He asked on the beach. It was so romantic. Candles, flowers, and everything," I beamed as I remembered the magical evening that I had with Jameson the day prior.
I turned towards Stacey and Abby who were scrolling through Netflix on my tv. Abby had a small smile on her face as she listened to our conversation. I had a feeling she already knew about all this from Jameson.
"Aww, I swear he's a romantic. No matter how he portrays himself at school," Stacey added, her eyes glued on the tv. "We can't decide what to watch."
"It's fine because I'm almost done," Andrea said, as she curled the last strands on my hair on my head. "We have to leave soon."
"How are you and Jonah?" I asked. We hadn't seen each other since the New York trip and this was the first time we were able to catch up with each other.
"Good," she shrugged. "No drama or anything so that's nice. It's a little annoying how close he is with all the Mathletes though. Like the girls."
"Babe you got nothing to worry about," Stacey snorted. "You're fucking gorgeous and you're the total package. Plus, Jonah is head over heels for you."
Andrea sighed. "I guess you're right. I can't help but feel a little insecure though. I mean they all have so much in common and they're so smart. We're like complete opposites."
"You're smart too," I assured her. "You're just more focused on athletics. I'm sure if you wanted to actually join the Mathletes, you could."
"Yeah trust me, I know those girls. I was once in Mathletes. If Jonah liked any of them, they would've been dating by now. They've all known each other since Freshmen year," Abby added.
"Yeah, you seriously got nothing to worry about," Stacey replied. "Are you almost done? We're going to be late."
Andrea nodded as she sprayed some hair spray in my hair. I bounced my curls and ran my fingers through them, twisting it around my fingers. I smiled at myself in the mirror.
I loved when my hair was curled.
We had all wanted to go ice skating before Winter break ended. Abby finally got a day off so we jumped on the opportunity to go today. They were all going to sleep over at my place tonight and I was so excited to hang out with my girls again. Even though I loved seeing my family these past few days, I missed all my girls so much.
