The Fisher boy sighed before telling the gang. ''me and her were together for like two months or so before summer. She was the one who took an interest in me. At first I was hesitant, because she was the, like popular girl and all. Suddenly she wanted to date me? The loner boy. I always thought it was Conrad she actually wanted, and in the end I was right. It was a mistake, she was a mistake''.

''so, what happened then?'', Jeremiah asked. ''well, we were at a party. It was the first time I drank. So, I got pretty wasted and I guess I told some things that wasn't meant to come out. She then kissed Conrad after that, but it wasn't his fault. I saw the whole thing, even though I was wasted. I saw Conrad pulling right away''.

''you never told me what that was by the way'', Conrad confessed. ''it-it doesn't matter''. Conrad saw the little gaze Blake gave Belly as he spoke. That's when he figured out what it was about, the one thing he always knew.

The one and only Belly.

''no, okay let's just forget about it and move on'', Conrad told the gang.

Everyone went their separate way except Belly and Blake. ''are you okay?'', the Conklin girl asked.

Blake nods. ''yeah, don't worry Belly bells. I'm fine'', he reassured the girl.

She embraced him in a hug, which he gladly accepted. As they were pulling apart. Something made the two stop mid way. So, now their lips were just inches apart.

It was just needed for one of them to lean in and their lips would touch. None of them did. They just stood there breathing heavily and waiting for the other one to do something.

It was then Blake stepped away, leaving Belly with a sad feeling in her body.

''we should go to the kitchen, my guess is my mother wants to see you'', he told her without looking at her. ''yeah you're right''.

She walked past him, into the kitchen.

He facepalmed himself.

''that's the secret''.

He turned around to see Conrad on the stairs, smirking. ''w-what?''. The eldest Fisher boy walks down. ''you like Belly?''. Blake tried to laugh it off. ''pfft what? No''.

Conrad rolls his eyes and shoves his brother. ''dude I noticed. I mean I have had my suspicious for a long time, but now I know for a certain''.

Blake sighed in defeat. ''doesn't matter. I think she likes someone else tho''. Conrad pats his brother's shoulder. ''maybe, but by the looks of it she may like you back''.

Now Blake laughed for real. ''yeah, sure'', he replied sarcastic. ''I'm serious Blake''. The middle Fisher looked at his brother's eyes, to see the seriousness.

''dude, don't be delusional''. ''Blake sometimes your clueless, yourself''. Blake shrugged. ''let's just move on''. Conrad held his hands up in surrender. ''alright if that's what you want''.

Conrad went back upstairs. Blake couldn't help but smile as the thought of Belly liking him back came into his mind.

He quickly shook it off and went into the kitchen.

''Laur she's just like you all over again'', his mother's voice came to sound.

Blake stopped by the counter and listened to the conversation. His mother noticed him. she looked over to her son, with a smile. ''isn't she just breathtaking Blake?'', she motioned to Belly.

Blake was surprised at his mother's question. ''I-I mean yeah she is. The most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on''.

Belly met his gaze and gave him a grateful smile, he could even she her blush.

Her gaze shifted back to Susannah shortly.

''people say tho I look like my dad'', the Conklin girl said. ''no. When I met your mother, she looked just like you. You bloom way more beautiful than your father, Belly''.

''you're right beck. Just that I didn't have boobs at all'', Laurel commented as she pointed at her daughter.

Blake couldn't help but choke on his milk that he was drinking at the moment.

''mom, gross'', Belly talked back trying to hide the embarrassment.

''what about you Blake? I mean you've also changed'', Laurel pointed out as she looked at the Fisher boy. Susannah points her finger up. ''trust me, should have seen him when he started to hit the gym Laurel. Couldn't get him to eat junk food for two months. It was all about the proteins and carbs'', Susannah laughed.

''mom, really?'', he groaned. Belly laughed at that. ''is that so?'', Laurel asked. ''oh, yeah. He even tried for the basketball team after four months in the gym''. ''what the basketball team?'', Belly peeked an interest.

Blake scratched his neck. ''uh, yeah I tried out. Dad thought it would be good for me, since I already was in shape. So, why not try sport then''. Susannah sighed low at the mention of the Fisher man.

''wait, so you're like playing basketball?'', she raised a brow. ''I guess so. I haven't really played my first game tho. I was just being benched by coach when I started. Wanted me to wait for next year''.

A smirk was now plastered on Belly's face. ''wow I thought sport was never your thing?''. The boy shrugged. ''it's not but it's not a bad thing to try. I ain't bad at it, I just ain't like Conrad when it comes to that''.

Susannah gave her son a squeeze. ''well, I get more of a feeling it's because of your dad. He was the one who suggested it and you applied. You know you don't have to do what you father tells you to do''. ''I know mom''.

''beck's right Blake. If you don't like it then don't do it. Just because Adam said so'', Laurel agreed. ''yeah, but I'll give it a try. Maybe I won't sit on the bench next year, since coach told me I wouldn't''.

''well, I would love to come to your first game''. Blake gave Belly a smile. ''I will make sure to spare you a seat''.

Susannah and Laurel smiled at the two's connection. Knowing there was more to it.

Laurel interrupts their moment. ''dang it. Belly you better tell your dad we are in Cousins and safe at the house''. Belly groaned. ''can't Steven do it?''. ''no, I'm telling you. You know he misses you when you're both gone''.

Belly rolls her eyes annoyed at her mother. ''he'll see us at the end of the summer''. ''well, actually he's coming here for the fourth'', Laurel confessed.

Belly stood up from her seat. ''what? He's coming here for the fourth?''. ''yeah he always come for the fourth'', the Conklin woman exclaimed. ''he didn't come last summer'', Belly crossed her arms.

''that's because we just got divorced, but now we're good''. Blake nods. ''cool mr Conklin is coming. I like him''.

''what about mr Fisher'', Belly asked her mother figure. Susannah got taken aback by that. ''oh, he's in London. They got him back and forth. He'll join us later in the summer. For now, it's the women and children'', she confessed.

''what? Dad's not coming?''. Susannah looked at her middle son. ''yeah, sorry I didn't tell you''.

Even though Blake loves his father, he's not so fond of him. He pushes the boy to be like more Conrad or Jeremiah. He doesn't like that his middle son is kind of a loner. That's why he got Jeremiah to get him into the gym and for pushing him into trying basketball. Then there is also the time when he heard his parent's fight about his father cheating.

He still has a relationship with him and kind of want to make him proud, but he also has hatred towards him for what he did to his mother.

''no, no it's good mom'', he gave her a reassuring smile.
