3rd pov

Blake had changed into his basketball outfit and went outside to see his mother already wating for him and right in front of her was the canva.

She turned around and looked at her son. ''oh, Blake there you are. Why are you wearing your basketball uniform?'', she raised her brows slightly. ''oh, I just thought like you would like it if I were something that means something to me''.

Susannah smiled at her son. ''but does basketball really mean something to you or your father?''. He sighed at her question. ''I mean I kind of like it. It has grown on me, even if I haven't played a game yet'', he revealed to her.

She nods. ''as long as it's your choice and it makes you happy. Now come on and take a seat. I want to get yours done''.

He walked over and took a seat, right in front of his mother.

She began to paint him.

''so, how's things going?'', she tried to make conversation with her middle son. ''uh good, I guess. How are you feeling... I mean how are you?''.

Susannah noticed the change in his tone. ''I'm fine honey, you don't have to worry about me. You know you can tell me everything, right?''. He gave her a soft smile. ''yeah I know mom''.

She nods. ''so, I heard you have a date today, with that girl Gigi. Is that true? Also isn't she a deb with Belly?''. ''um yeah I guess. It's not quiet a date tho, more like a hang out. Yeah she is a deb''.

The Fisher woman cleared her throat. ''what does Belly think of that?''. The boy furrowed his brows. ''I don't know and why would she care?''. ''no reason. So, are you excited? For the date I mean. I remember when you dated you know who''.

Blake looks down on the ground. ''you could say. I mean I'm trying to get myself out there and Gigi is cool when you get to know her. I think Conrad even has a thing with Nicole and that's good, since he hasn't really been out there himself after Aubrey. Yeah I remember that too. In all honesty I wish I never dated her''.

''yeah I spoke to Connie about it. I'm happy for him, Jeremiah and you. I just want what's best for you. You know that?''. The boy chuckles. ''yeah mom I know''. ''you know don't you think Belly was stunning in that dress? Just wait until you see her in the debutant dress. She looked like a princess''.

''yeah, sure''. Susannah sighed at her son's behaviour. ''you know Belly's birthday is coming up. She's turning sixteen, she's not a little kid anymore. You got her something special for her sweet sixteen?''.

Blake became a little uncomfortable.

''yeah I guess I found something''. Susannah narrowed her eyes at her son. ''wanna tell me?''. ''well, I haven't exactly bought it but I have something in mind''. ''tell me'', she was eager to know.

The boy scratched his neck. ''It's a necklace to be exact. It has a star in the middle, I have a plan to engrave her initials behind it''. This took Susannah's intrest. ''may I ask why that necklace in perticular?''.

The boy gulped. ''uh I don't know if you remember, but when we were little. Belly was upset on something because someone said she wasn't beautiful. I told her that she shouldn't listen to them because she is, on the inside and outside...'', Blake stopped and smiled for himself remembering that moment.

3rd pov (flashback)

It was night and Belly was outside the house and tears were streaming down her face. Blake came outside. Seeing the Conklin girl by her self, while tears were shown on her.

''you aren't thinking about what that girl said are you?'', young Blake asked. Belly didn't answer him and kept her gaze on the ground.

''Belly bells let me tell you something. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on, both on the inside and outside. Don't listen to what other people have to say. They are assholes. I know I'm not supposed to say that, but hey neither of our mom's are here now. So, i'll say it again. They are assholes''.
