3rd pov
Blake and Gigi were in his room. He just got her ice for her sore wound she got minutes prior.
''I'm sorry for that. Should have seen the ball before it hit you''. Gigi smiles softly at him as she takes his hand in her. ''no it's okay Blake. It's not your fault nor Taylor's. It could have happened to anyone else who had my seat. I was a little bit more closer than you three. So, it's all good''.
''are you sure you're fine'', he asked with worry in his tone. She squeezed his hand as an assurance. ''really Blake. I am fine. You don't have to worry about nothing. It was just a ball what hit me, nothing to hard'', she smiled. ''I just care you know. May act sometimes like I don't but I do''. The girl furrow her brows in a playful manner.
''did the Blake Fisher just tell me he care for me? Wow, never thought the mystery Blake Fisher would ever say something like that in the open'', she fake gasped. He smiled sarcastic. ''yeah I do. So, don't go on and tell anybody. Might break my cover as the mystery Fisher'', he joked.
She kissed him on the cheek.
''well, thank you for caring and helping me. You may have this mysterious bad boy thing going on, but in the inside you really are soft. You should let people see it more often. It's a nice side of you''.
Blake had nothing to say, so he just settled with a smile to the girl.
Gigi's phone chimes.
She stood up after reading her message. ''shit. I'm sorry Blake, but I have to go. My mother has to get to work and I have to babysit my little brother for a few hours before they leave''.
''you want me to come? I can help'', he raised a brow slightly. She shakes her head. ''no, no. It's fine. It's Belly's birthday and you should join in the fun. I'll see you later at Nicole's birthday party. Plus babysitting my devil of a brother is not an easy job. I think he'd scare you away''.
Blake gives her a smirk.
''nah, think I'd be the one to scare him away. Kind of like I have scared Jeremiah when we were younger. Conrad, not so much. But he was little more difficult to scare. Tricking him yes, scaring him no''.
''a little of a prankster and that I see'', she wiggled her eyebrows at him.
She gave him a quick peck before she walked out the door.
Blake let out a sigh and lays himself down on the bed.
''well, well looks like your girl let you high and dry. That doesn't look fun''. The Fisher boy looked at the door, to see Taylor leaning on the door frame.
''what do you want Jewel?''. She rolled her eyes. ''back to the last names, are we Fisher?''. The boy gets back up on his bed. ''for real what do you want''. She narrowed her eyes on him. ''would you believe me if I said you?'', she said flirtarious towards him.
The boy chuckled at this. ''you want me?''. She came into his room and sat beside him on the bed. ''what if I do?'', she tried to flirt.
This made the Fisher boy laugh. ''what's so funny?''. He looked to her with serious in his eyes. ''because you don't want me like that Taylor. I notice things. Things you think you're being all secretive about, newsflash you're not exactly''. She raised a brow in a questioning manner. ''what things?''.
The boy clears his throat. ''you really think I haven't noticed the way you are with Steven? It's clear that you like him. Come on. Anyone who observes just enough would know about your little crush on him. Well, perhaps except him'', he clarified.
Now the girl was quiet.
''I must warn you he has a girlfriend or a at least a thing with a girl named Shayla. She's here and I think it's going somewhere at least for the summer'', he layed it out for her.
She scoffed. ''so? Don't you think I have noticed the way you're with Belly? You're not so slick you either, Blake''.
The boy gulped at the statement. ''I don't know what you're talking about''. Taylor rolled her eyes annoyed. ''oh, come on Blake. It's not hard to see if you know what to look for''.
The boy shook his head, trying to act clueless. ''I don't k...''. ''Blake just stop, alright? There is no need to try and get out of it. Just like you said. If you observe close enough'', she cut him off. The boy sighs. ''what do you really want Taylor?'', he changed the subject.
She went to his ear and whispered. ''I want a smoke''. She retreated back to her spot. He tilted his head to the side. ''you want to smoke weed?''. She nods. ''no. Just like I told Belly''.
She huffs. ''come on Blake. I just want to have some fun''. ''yeah and you won't share with Belly?'', he questions her.
''no'', she bluntly said. He rolled his eyes, knowing she was lying. ''yeah right. The answer is no. One, because I know you'll give to Belly too. Two, because it's not good for you''. She pouts. ''please Blake. It's just a smoke''. ''it's not just a smoke Taylor. It can fuck you up. Either way I don't have more. I'm trying to quit. Haven't had one in almost two weeks. So, sorry but I am clean''.
Realization hit her.
''when Belly told you to stop?''. Blake tried to keep his cool, not wanting Taylor to know that it was because of the Conklin girl.
''it has nothing to do with her. I-I wanted to quit on my own. Not because Belly said so. I just didn't want that in my body anymore. Simple as that''.
The Jewel girl smirked. ''sure. That's why. Like it has nothing to do with, because Belly asked you to quit''.
Blake went quiet.
''what's going on here?''.
The two looked to see Belly and Jeremiah at the door.
''I asked Blake here for a smoke but turns out he has quit. At least trying to. He hasn't smoked since two weeks or so'', Taylor revealed to the two.
Jeremiah looked at his brother with furrowed eyebrows. ''wait you quit?''. He nods. ''what? I tried to get you to quit right when you started because it's not that healthy when you're in sport. Now you're telling me out of nowhere you quit?''.
Taylor waves her hand, gesturing she knew something. ''actually, it wasn't out of nowhere. You have Belly to thank for your brother quitting Jeremy. He quit when she told him to''.
Blake glared at the girl besides him. Taylor could feel his glare, but didn't care. She was smiling for herself.
Belly's eyes widened. ''you really stopped because I told you to?''.
Blake huffs. ''I mean not quiet I did it on my terms. Not just because you told me to''.
''right. Just at the time Belly told you and you haven't smoked since'', Taylor sarcastically spoke up.
''Bley get down here. I need your help'', Steven shouted from downstairs. The Fisher boy stood up as all eyes were on him.
''well, looks like Steven needs a hand with something. So, I'll just go down and help him. So, if nothing more then''.
He walked out the door, but not before getting stopped by Belly grabbing his hand. He turned around. ''I'm proud of you''. He answers with a nod and goes downstairs.
As he just came down the stairs Steven came up to him right away.
''what's up?'', he asked a distressed Steven. ''I need help with some tuxes''.
At first the Fisher boy didn't understand what was going on, but figured it out quickly. ''tuxes? Oh, you mean for the ball?''.
''uh yeah no shit. Sheila has this all planned out and I'm like freaking out. It's expensive dude'', Steven confided to his best friend.
Blake pats his shoulder. ''you know. I can help you out with it. I can pay for it. I have no problem with it man. I got some cash I can get now and we can go on tux hunt''. Steven shook his head. ''no I can't ask you to do that. Thanks Blake, but I'll use the money from the club I'm making. I just need your help with the choosing. It's so much to choose from, man. Like I thought it was simple to choose, but damn was I wrong''.
The Fisher boy chuckle at his friend. ''sure. Let's see what you got and I'll help you from there''.
Steven nods as he guides Blake to the living room.
