Blake just got home from the beach. He went to the kitchen and saw everyone was up except his mother. Jeremiah was making something. Blake tilted his head to the side to see what he was making.

Jeremiah saw his brother and smiled. ''there you are B. Hey I'm making Connie some of my hangover smoothie. He needs it, but I think you need it more. So, just go and lay down bro. I got you'', Jeremiah assured with a smile.

Blake did what he was told and passed Laurel at the same time. He gave her a smile and to his surprise, she returned it even after what happened the night before.

''so do we like really have to physically sit for our portraits?'', Jeremiah asked. ''yeah can't she just like look at the picture of her phone or something and like paint that'', Steven agreed beside him.

Laurel rolled her eyes at the boys. ''she needs to see you all in the flesh in order to capture your essence. While you're still young and full of hope'', Laurel tried to explain to them.

Jeremiah and Steven looked at each other and bursted out in laughter.

''well, Blake there isn't exactly hopeful. Even Conrad isn't and he didn't drink that much yesterday, or I think so. I mean Blake's the one who got more wasted than all of us''.

''fuck you Jeremiah'', Blake shouted from the couch. ''relax B. My hangover smoothie will cure your choice of getting drunk and be hangover''.

''then hurry'', Conrad spoke up.

''I for a fact can't wait for mom to paint me. I agree with Laur, it means more when you sit for your own portrait. It gives more connection if it makes senses'', Blake added.

''see Blake agrees with me. He understands. She hasn't painted all of you since you all were little. I for a fact think it's great. Then when you're older you have them and can look back at the old times'', Laurel told the two boys in the kitchen.

Blake's pov

As Laurel tried to reason with Jeremiah and Steven about the portraits. I was already on board with it. I just know it'll make her happy and that's why it doesn't bother me.

My thoughts were interrupted by a door swung open and her beautiful voice greeting.

''good morning everyone''.

I looked up to see Belly. My jaw clenched at the sight. Her eye had gotten worse.

Laurel looked at her and her eyes was wide as she noticed it too.

''Belly where have you been and what in the world happened to your eye?'', she referred to the bruise.

I noticed Belly give me a quick glance, but I didn't give her. Instead I looked down at the floor.

''oh, I just bumped into someone. It isn't a big deal mom, relax''. Laurel scoffed, which sounded like she didn't believe her. ''you bumped into someone and that gave you a bruise?''. ''uh, yeah''.

My guilt was eaten my up. So, I stood up from the couch. ''it's my fault Laurel'', I told her the truth. Everyone looked at me surprised. ''what does that mean, Blake?'', she gave me an unreadable expression. ''I was an idiot. I got into a fight last night. Belly was trying to break it up but ended up getting hurt because of me. I'm really sorry. I never meant it to go that far. I hate myself for it''.

She looked at me with anger in her eyes now. ''I can't believe you Blake. What's gotten into you? You and Conrad?''. I looked down and didn't meet her eyes. ''mom'', I heard Belly say.
