Hi guys!!

Been loving all your feedback and comments. You are all seriously the best.

A couple fun lil things...

Someone mentioned that "So It Goes..." by Taylor Swift is perfect for Kels and Anakin and I have to agree. Fun to listen and draw comparisons! Let me know if you agree and/or if any other songs remind you of them :)

Also, I have to give a million thanks to @autumnswhisper <3 She has been the greatest support. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how insanely talented she is. Everyone please check out her Anakin fics! I mean it when I say they are some of the best writing this platform has to offer. And she has also created this beautiful poster that depicts Kels and Anakin after their first night spent together (Clone War era hair and everything) :) I absolutely love it.

Much to my dismay, I didn't see Anakin for the rest of the day.

I figured he was wrapped up in Jedi business despite technically being on bed rest. I quickly learned that an order for "bed rest" was actually a mere suggestion for the Jedi. There was no way Anakin would sit around and simply do nothing for even just a few hours.

While trying to stick to my cover story of being "too sick to work," I stayed in my room. I passed the time by scrolling the holonet, shamelessly reading senate publications of Anakin's war heroics. He was painted to be a fearless, unflappable, and sage leader on the battlefield. And while that was all true, I found the articles always left out how intense, reckless and fiery he can be. It felt like such an incomplete picture of who Anakin is.

I wondered what the public would do if they knew their intrepid war hero has an inhuman ability to inhale sugary pastries, a surprising affinity for moody jazz singers, and has a spot right below his jaw that if kissed just the right way, has him melting into mush.

Smiling to myself, I loved how those sides of him were seemingly reserved for me alone.

Being loved by Anakin was a privilege. And I clung to each new, intimate detail I learned about him.

With a sigh, I rested my holopad on my stomach and laid back, looking up at the ceiling to give my eyes a break. As I scanned the familiar cracks and ridges, I was reminded of the not so distant past where studying these lines seemed to be the only thing keeping my mind and heart from crumbling.

My heart still hurt for Payto. I was certain it always would. But the ache that left me breathless months ago had begun to dull. And thinking about him has started to bring feelings of comfort as opposed to agony. My fingers subconsciously reached for my necklace, fumbling with the two tiny spheres.

Payto would be forever with me. And now it is Anakin who takes care of my heart in this physical realm.

A soft chuckle escaped from my throat. I could only imagine what Payto's reaction would be to what has transpired in just the past 24 hours.
