After spending a week in Los Angeles to rehearse every single day Jack and I decided to come back to Michigan for a bit before we leave for Ireland. In all honesty, the trip is to get out of the country, check out a venue I want to play in, and my last reason is to work on a very secret but very special project.

I'm shitting my pants just thinking about it.

But I really should stop thinking about it so I can enjoy my day today with my friends. I got home really late when everyone was still asleep so I have yet to see anyone. So the second my eyes peel open I rush into the restroom to wash my face and brush my teeth before running downstairs, leaving Jack alone in bed.

I catch everyone looking at me running down the stairs, making so much noise while they eat breakfast. "Holy fuck! I thought you were coming tomorrow morning." Mere says, standing up to wrap her arms around me. I sway from side to side with her before even looking at the other boys at the table.

Once she lets me go I wrap my arms around my little brother and ruffle his hair. I then move on to hugging Luke, Quinn, Trevor, Alex, and Cole since I'm in an excellent mood. I feel amazing! "How was California?" Luke asks as he gets up from the table to grab me a mug of coffee and some breakfast they ordered.

I tell them all about California, starting with the late-night swimming in the ocean to my rehearsals for Coachella. They're all very supportive of my career and all the new milestones I'm hitting. Since the release of 'Emails I can't send' my phone has been blowing up with loads of love not just from the people around me but from other musicians I look up to.

Quinn and Luke both sent me private messages congratulating me on the release of my newest project. I might've gotten weepy about them and locked myself away in the restroom to secretly cry but I was on my period so it's their fault for being kind to me. It's just new to me having a relationship with the people close to my boyfriend.

I was friendly with Brendan's band but not best friends, Brendan's siblings weren't too fond of me, and his friends outside of his bandmates really hated me. It was hard to be so unlikeable but now I know it had nothing to do with me because I am clearly liked here.

"So what's the plan for today?" I ask with a smile, cutting into the waffle Luke put on my plate. Quinn scratches his stubble, checking the weather on his phone before saying, "We could have ourselves a little boat day, and later tonight we can go grab some dinner." Mere nods her head enthusiastically, rubbing his middle finger which now has a small cowboy hat tattoo on it matching hers.

Quinn looks around getting everyone's opinion on the matter before he officially decides that's what we're doing today. "Great, because I already put in the reservations." he says with two thumbs up, excusing himself to get the boat ready for us. Once the rest of the boys are done eating and leave the table to go help Quinn I show Meredith the choreography for 'Feather' since it's my favorite.

I still want the 'Nonsense' dance routine to be a complete surprise but until then I can show them the little dance I'll do. Once I'm done dancing to my music I hear a door from upstairs open then close."Where are the boys?" Jack asks with a big yawn, stretching his arms above his head. He wraps his arms around me as if he wasn't on this Los Angeles trip with me and this is his first time getting to see me since.

"Outside, it's boat day." Mere says with a smile, getting up to clear her plate and wash the dishes the boys left in the sink. Jack brightens up at the idea of getting to ride around the boat with me and his friends for the first time this summer. He steals half of my waffle, taking it upstairs with him while he gets ready for the boat.
