Today is Stagecoach day and best believe I'm the one hauling everyone ass into the rental car to get all of us there in a timely manner. I look around watching our group of friends trail behind us then do a double take while Trevor drifts away from us to show Cole something far away. "Trevor Jesus," I mutter, waving him over to us.
"It's actually John." He says taking offense to what he thought was a slip-up. I narrow my eyes at him and just beg him to hurry so we can get to the house where we're staying on time. We have to check in with them or we'll get charged a late fee which is a decent amount since Stagecoach and Coachella season are upon us.
Once Jack pulls around in front of us, he steps out and helps us load the trunk full of our luggage. He helps toss my stuff in while everyone else shoves their suitcases inside and runs into the car to avoid pissing anyone driving behind us off. I take the front seat but pull it all the way forward so anyone behind me can have some legroom.
I wasn't going to take the front seat but everyone kindly left it to me. Everyone seems pretty drowsy after our flight so the car ride is fairly quiet. I hold Jack's hand and rub his thumb with my thumb while I start an online order for some tacos to get to the house ten minutes after we arrive. "Okay, I ordered a few platters of tacos and sides is there anything you guys want me to include?" I tell them, shooting off the order as it is without adjustments.
I end up adding extra rice and some black beans to the order before paying for it. Once everything is set for the food Jack pulls into the driveway for the house we'll be staying in for the next few days. I get out of the car and walk up to the people renting it to us. They check my I.D. and let me know a few things before taking off, letting us have the house to ourselves.
Jack takes the liberty of grabbing my suitcase and taking it upstairs to one of the bedrooms. I follow Jack up the stairs watching Quinn give Meredith the same treatment but with more bags than me. Mere encourages him each step of the way before squeezing past him to the room across from ours.
Quinn pants like a dog before dropping the bags at the entrance, watching his girlfriend's pretty smile take up half of her face. Jack runs up behind me, quietly thanking me for not packing as much as Meredith making me giggle as I drop my head against his shoulder. "You ready for these next few days?" Jack asks in between pressing his lips to my cheek.
"Yeah, are you?" I turn my head up to ask before getting the notification that the food is here. Jack blows a breath out through his lips and says, "Yeah, I'm just not ready to see you looking so good it hurts on top of not being able to touch you." I open the door, handing the delivery man a tip, and take the food inside with the help of my boyfriend.
I yell that the food is here and listen to the sounds of everyone's feet running towards the dining room, resembling the sound of a stampede thanks to Trevor and Luke. I check the time, cracking open an energy drink to have while I eat my food before getting ready. Mere does the same but the boys don't because they'll have time to sleep before leaving.
Yes, we're bitter.
Jack rubs circles onto my lower back, asking me what he's gonna wear tonight. "Something with the jeans that make your ass look really good." I tell him with my taco millimeters away from my lips. He nods his head with a muffled laugh and watches Mere and I excuse ourselves with another energy drink.
Mere and I run up the stairs to the spacious bathroom and lay out all of our makeup in front of us. I sit on the very edge of the counter with my legs crossed near the sink and turn some music on while we get ready. For the majority of the time Taylor's country albums are playing, making it slightly difficult to stay still enough to do our makeup.
