Author's POV

After the unexpected conversation on the deck, a few night prior a tension seemed to hung in air. The Pirate Queen began to ignore Jennie's existence on the ship, speaking only when necessary for the crew's operations. It left Jennie feeling more confused in a world where she was still struggling to find her place.

The crew members continued their harsh treatment, becoming increasingly relentless. Their insults and taunts grew in intensity, pushing Jennie to her limits. She was becoming more frustrated with each passing day, her spirit slowly fading.

Lisa, however, emerged as a beacon of friendship in this harsh environment. The two women often found solace in each other's company during rare moments of respite. They even played simple games like dice and cards, creating a sign of normalcy amidst the chaos of the pirate life.

Their friendship didn't go unnoticed. It stirred jealousy among the crew, who had grown accustomed to Jennie's isolation. Whispers and glares followed Jennie and Lisa wherever they went.

One evening, while Jennie and Lisa were engrossed in a game of cards, one particularly envious crew member, Jane, couldn't contain her frustration. She approached them, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Seems like the Captain's pet and her little friend have forgotten their place."

Lisa shot a defiant glare at Jane. "We're just playing cards, Jane. No need to be bitter."

Jennie, not used to confrontation, kept her eyes on her cards. But inside, she felt a growing sense of resentment toward the crew members who had tormented her.

"Oh really? Or is it because you want to lay down with her? It can happen since you didn't get laid for a few week--" that woman was cut off as Lisa punched her jaw.

"Shut the fuck up bitch! Get out of here. Do not try to anger me!" Lisa shouted.

Other fellow pirates who were ennoying the scene ran away along with Jane. Jennie was speechless and scared to see the woman in front of her growling in anger.

"L-Lisa calm down please." Jennie's voice trembled.

Lisa took a deep breath before turning to her.

"I'm sorry, because of me those bitches insulted you." She apologized.

"It's all fine. You can't change their perspective about me. They are just jealous." Jennie said.

"It's unnecessary." Lisa shook her head.

"Yeah just like your captain's behavior." Jennie mumbled all of a sudden, thinking about their moody Pirate Queen.

Lisa couldn't help but laughed at her.

"Captain Jisoo may be ruthless to her enemies, but she's a complex person. She has a hidden side, a caring heart. There are stories of her saving orphaned children and helping those in need. She's not just a pirate; she's a protector." Lisa proudly shared.

Jennie's eyes widened with amazement and curiosity. This revelation painted a new picture of Jisoo in her mind. The woman she had feared was now a mystery to her.

As nights fell over the Caribbean, the formidable Pirate Queen was tormented by her own demons. In the privacy of her quarters, Jisoo suffered from nightmares, vivid and haunting. These nightmares delved into the darkest corners of her past life, revealing the horrors she had experienced and the choices she had made.

"You killed him."

"You killed him."

"You killed him."

The cold voice chanting in Jisoo's ear. She found herself in the same scene. In the dense forest, a lot of bloodied headless dead bodies around her. The giant man infront of her, saying that sentence again and again. Jisoo covered her ears. Her head hurts so much, it might explode.
