In the quiet confines of her room at the White Tower, Elara sought solace away from the watchful eyes of others. The weight of recent events pressed on her, and she yearned for answers or comfort within the realm of Tel'aran'rhiod. Little did she know that Ishamael awaited, ready to unravel the secrets of her soul.
As Ishamael guided Elara through a journey of truth, the reality of her existence unfolded. Exposing the truth of her creation and purpose through the Bore. His words echoed through her mind, challenging her understanding of identity and lineage. "You have no mother, no father. We are what created you. For a purpose that is not for your control. You are Ta'veren, woven by the Wheel of Time into the Pattern with all surrounding life threads."
Elara, skeptical and defiant, retorted, "Do you expect me to trust you? Why would I believe you of all people? If I was Ta'veren, I would know. My mothers would have told me."
Ishamael, a smirk playing on his lips, countered, "Would they? They lied to you about who they were for most of your life, and it was only when they needed you that they told you the truth. You are nothing but a weapon and a tool to them."
Defending her mothers, Elara asserted, "You're lying. They wanted to protect me because they love me. You know, the thing that only people with a soul can do. How long has it been since you had that feeling? Two, three thousand years?"
Ishamael, "Love, the sentiment only beings with a soul can comprehend."
Elara, conflicted and shaken by Ishamael's revelations, started to doubt the sincerity of those who claimed to love her, "You're just trying to manipulate me."
Ishamael grew frustrated, persisting in his narrative, predicting that Elara's mothers would challenge her, inducing guilt and placing her in perilous situations.
"They will make you feel guilt for being what you are. And when they do, you will come crawling back to me, asking for guidance. Unlike your mothers, I will help you embrace your true power, and love will be a distant memory you will no longer yearn for."
In a moment of vulnerability, Elara started to waver. However, she fought against the manipulation, pushing herself out of Tel'aran'rhiod and back into the waking world.
Still reeling from the unsettling revelations, she left her room, embarking on a walk to clear her mind and confront the conflicting emotions swirling within her.
The White Tower loomed around her, a fortress of both physical and metaphysical challenges. Elara sought solace in the cool night air, hoping a walk through the Tower's corridors would help clear her mind. The hallways echoed with the distant whispers of Aes Sedai and novices, but Elara felt isolated in her own thoughts.
Doubt lingered, fueled by Ishamael's insidious narrative. She questioned the motives of those who claimed to be her family, the love they professed, and the very nature of her existence. As she navigated the shadowed paths, Elara couldn't shake the feeling of being a pawn in a game she didn't fully understand.
