Elara, seeking comfort, walked over to Moiraine, taking her hand. Moiraine responded with a gentle smile, her thumb caressing Elara's hand.     Observing this, Lanfear couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. She interjected, attempting to pierce the silence that had settled among them, "You two are being very quiet back there. Should I worry?"

    As they halted before a Waygate, Moiraine, breaking the silence, inquired, "This is it? The Waygate to Falme?"
    Lanfear nodded knowingly. Moiraine, determined, commanded, "Open it."
    "Why don't you?" Lanfear retorted.
    Moiraine, unwilling to disclose the return of her powers, claimed, "Ishamael took my power from me." 
    Elara, aware of the lie, subtly shook her head, urging Moiraine to be honest for fear of what Lanfear would do.
