Twenty years ago, in the hallowed halls of the White Tower in Tar Valon, Moiraine and Siuan, youthful and full of dreams, strolled through a corridor adorned with the echoes of bells and the cheers of a jubilant crowd outside. The air was alive with anticipation and the promise of a future yet to unfold.
Siuan, wearing royal blue, couldn't conceal her nervousness. She turned to Moiraine, seeking reassurance in the midst of the celebratory chaos.
"Do you really think they'll like me?" Siuan asked.
"I'm more worried about you liking them," Moiraine responded, a gentle tease in her voice.
Siuan's uncertainty lingered, prompting Moiraine to express her own reservations about the Damodred family.
"My father's brilliant and kind. But he's absent-minded and he's a bit vague. And my sister, too, she can be really..." Moiraine started.
"Really?" Siuan interrupted, indicating that the approval of Moiraine's family wasn't her primary concern.
Moiraine, sharing a rare moment of vulnerability, explained the significance of the visit.
"We don't have to go to Cairhien if you don't want to. It's just that I haven't seen them since before the war, and now that it's over..." Moiraine trailed off.
Siuan, grappling with her own emotions, "No, no, no, no. It's not that, it's not that," Siuan responded.

Moiraine, understanding the depth of Siuan's sentiments pressed for clarity, "What is it, then?" Moiraine asked.
Siuan, with a mixture of nostalgia and yearning, "It's just... It's just... with the war, it's been so hard to think about any future beyond these walls. And when I think about us, where we'll end up, it's not in this Tower, with these gowns and the ring.," Siuan confessed.
Moiraine, ever the pragmatist, sought to ground their dreams in a more tangible reality. "Well, where is it, then?" Moiraine inquired.
Siuan, with a touch of whimsy, described a vision of tranquility. "It's... in a bamboo hut on the river, like my father and I had," Siuan shared.
