Within the confines of the chamber, tension crackled in the air as Moiraine and Lan confronted Siuan, seeking to challenge the fate that awaited Rand. The clash of perspectives reverberated within the Sun Palace.
The door swung open at Siuan's command.
"Let them through," Siuan instructed, her gaze unwavering.
Moiraine and Lan entered, their eyes immediately drawn to Rand on his knees. Moiraine's expression tightened at the sight.
"Release him, Siuan. Now," Moiraine demanded with a sense of urgency.
"No. We tried our way, Moiraine. And we nearly lost everything. The Tower's laws have stood for 3,000 years. It's time we obeyed them," Siuan countered, her resolve unyielding.
"This is not what we agreed to," Lan interjected, his voice resonating with discontent.
"The Reds will gentle him," Moiraine warned, her concern etched across her face.
"Not while I hold the Seat," Siuan declared firmly.
"The Tower is filled with your enemies. You're this sure of your power? We each had a task, Siuan. I was to find the Dragon Reborn. You were to get the Tower ready to support him. Or have you forgotten that day?" Moiraine reminded her, frustration simmering beneath the surface.
"Of course, I have not forgotten. But you and Elara were supposed to be with him, ready to shield him if he starts to go mad. Yet here you are, stilled and without our daughter. You can't control him. You can't guide him," Siuan countered sharply. "Can you imagine, Moiraine, if one of the Forsaken got their hands on him? He's no more ready now than he was before you found him. You left the fate of the world to chance... for your pride. Tomorrow, when Queen Galldrian returns, we shall announce him as Dragon here in Cairhien... with 14 Sisters by our side to show he is under our control. Prepare him for what is to come."

As the weight of Siuan's decision settled, Rand and Moiraine found themselves confined in a cell. Leane, with an air of authority, maintained Rand's shield. The uncertain path ahead loomed before them.
"What is happening to me?" Rand questioned, a sense of vulnerability in his voice.
"You've been shielded from the One Power," Moiraine explained, her tone empathetic.
"It feels..." Rand began, struggling to articulate the overwhelming sensation.
"As if you've lost everything you ever were and everything you could possibly be. Don't worry, it's temporary. She has to channel to keep the shield in place, but when it drops, you'll feel yourself again," Moiraine reassured him. She paused for a moment before addressing his earlier revelation. "Siuan said you were leaving. Where were you going?"
