Jisung ran through the hallways with a hot cup of coffee, trying his best not to spill it as he rushed back to Minho's room. He didn't like being away for too much time, and the long line at the hospital's cafeteria hadn't made anything better.

It had been one month and one week exactly since the incident, one moth and one week exactly since Jisung had last seen Minho conscious. The doctors said that nothing was wrong with the older's health, as his cuts were healing well and he didn't have any internal damage or any of such, but he still didn't wake up. He was still tied to those stupid machines to stabilize his breathing and to those tubes to inject him the medicines and food he couldn't ingest.

Apparently, the most probable scenario was that Minho's brain just didn't want to wake up, even if his body was already okay.

So now, there stood Jisung, with a hot coffee between his hands and big eyebags under his brown eyes, sighing before opening the door to that white and cold hospital room, even if rays of sun shone across it and landed on Minho's face, lighting it up to make him look asleep instead of unconscious.

Jisung smiled at the shell of his boyfriend, putting the cup down on the little table below the TV before going up to his side and leaning down to plant a soft kiss to his cheek.

"Hey, babe." he spoke, receiving no answer as usual. "The line today was really long, that's why I was away a bit longer."

He brushed some strands of half red hair away from the older's forehead, trying his best to not break down at the sight of Minho's peaceful expression. He then walked away to open the curtains a bit more so that more sunlight could enter the room, to make it look less dead.

"Jiwoon and Yuuna are coming to see you in a bit. They wanna know how you're doing. Oh! And the boys will be here for lunch so we better get our ears ready." Jisung drank half of his coffee in one go as he walked around the room, mindlessly picking things up and putting them back down again.

He took another long sip of the hot cup, finishing the drink and throwing it to the little trashcan on the corner of the room.

"Okay, let's get those muscles moving, love"

He rubbed his palms together before gently grabbing Minho's arm, caresing it with his fingers as he lifted it up to start flexing it as needed in order for the muscles to contract and relax.

He carefully moved his boyfriend's arms, fingers, legs and neck, following the instructions he had once recieved from the doctor that Minho had assigned to himself.

Music filled the room at every moment, as Jisung hummed or sang a different tune all the time, sometimes making up the song and tapping his foot along the new rythm he had come up with.

He always tried to smile, to not let his bad feelings and thoughts take over him every time he looked at the unconscious boy; because if he did, he knew he wouldn't be able to get back up to take care of Minho. He wanted to be there for his boyfriend.

Once he was done with the exercises, he covered the older back up, tucking him in and placing a kiss on his forehead.

"You did great. I love you." he praised, not really sure if Minho could hear him.

Jisung sighed for the millionth time that morning, but his eyes flew to the door as he heard three knocks on it. His brother and Yuuna came inside the hospital room with some bags.

"Hey, Sunggie. How's it going?" asked Jiwoon as he placed a bag on the floor and hugged his brother tight.

"We just finished doing the muscle exercises." Jisung let go of the arms that circled him before he went to carefully greet the pregnant woman with another hug.

Yuuna smiled at his brother-in-law and placed a quick kiss on both his cheeks.

"Did the doctor say something?" she asked, sitting down on one of the room's chairs. Her back hurt a bit already and she was just now discovering how difficult being 8 months pregnant really was.

Jisung shook his head. "Same thing as before, to try and talk to him as much as possible to stimulate his brain or something like that. She sais that he can probably hear me and that it could get him to want to wake up, but it's been a month." his voice shook at the end of the sentence.

He tried to calm down, to keep the smile on, so he turned his head up to keep the tears from spill. Jiwoon saw and didn't waste a second to wrap his brother in a warm hug.

"I'm okay." tried to assure the younger, but his broken tone and the few salty droplets of water that left his eyes said otherwise.

The older just tightened his grip on Jisung, as he felt hin shake and let go of all the tears he was holding in.

It hurt. Everything did.

"Why won't he just wake up?" cried the brunette. "It's so painful to see him like this, Jiwoon."

Yuuna made an effort to stand up, joining the hug as well, her belly bumping slightly against the two boys in the room. It made Jisung laugh a little as he wiped his tears away and tried to calm down again.

"I just don't get why he would want to leave. No, not that, why he would want to leave me." painful sobs filled the room once more.

The couple hugged him tight to keep the pieces together, but Jisung was breaking day by day. His mind just couldn't hold on whenever he stopped to think. He bearly slept, always alert of the possibility of something happening, alwayd scared that Minho would just slip past his fingers and he would never see the person he loved ever again.

His health, mental and physical, was a mess, yet he refused to leave his boyfriend alone.

"I love him so much, I can't afford to lose him." his cries echoed through the room. His body shook painfully with every sob.

"Jisung, Minho loves you too." assured Yuuna, trying to comfort the crying boy somehow.

"Then why did he do it?" the younger's mind couldn't understand it, no matter how hard he tried. "I told him to come to me if he felt bad, he promised me to stay with me. Was he lying all along?"

"Sunggie, it'll be okay." soothed Jiwoon, rubbing circles on his little brother's back.

After a while, it seemed to calm Jisung down, as his sobs became soft sniffles.

"I'm sorry, I was a bit overwhelmed." he brought a hand up to wipe his own tears away.

Yuuna smiled softly as she kept on hugging her brother-in-law as tight as she could.

"Jisung." she called, her tone suddenly serious. "Minho loves you, no matter what he did."

The brunette sniffled a few more times, nodding. "I know." his voice shook, tears threatening to fall again.

He managed to keep them in as he let go of his brother's fiancee to sit by Minho's side, rubbing the unconscious boy's cheek with his thumb. Jiwoon walked up to his side and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, squeezing lightly to let his brother know he was there, that he wasn't alone.

"Do you want us to stay until the boys come?" he suggested softly, ruffling Jisung's hair.

"It's okay, guys. Thanks for everything. I'll call you if something happens."

His tone was tired, but Jisung still managed to smile again.

"I made you cheesecake, and some lunch also. Hospital food tastes like plastic and medicine." Yuuna took one of the bags they brought before and placed it next to Jisung, signaling that was the one with the food in it.

Then, she kneeled down next to the brunette.

"Jisung, we're so proud of you." the black haired woman whispered, smiling comfortingly at Jisung.

The younger sniffled again, rubbing his eyes and laughing softly. "Thanks, really." he whispered back.

The woman stood up, her happy aura radiating into the room. Jiwoon walked out with her, both waving goodbye as they closed the door of the hospital room.

As soon as they walked out, Jisung burried his face in his hands and cried again, silently.

He didn't eat lunch either, he wasn't hungry.
