Back at the counter, the brunette payed for the food with a smile.
"Are you going to the river?" asked grandpa, not wanting to let Jisung go and never see him again, which he knew would happen as soon as the boy walked outside.
"Yeah, I wanted to show him something beautiful for his birthday." Jisung's eyes were settled lovingly on the sleeping Minho, who rested his head on the car's window.
"Is he your boyfriend?" questioned the old man with a warm smile, watching as the younger's face went red and giggling. Jisung shyly shook his head no. "But you like him a lot." grandpa hadn't even made that a question, it had been completely a statement.
The brunette's eyes went wide for a second. "Is it that obvious?" he worriedly asked. Grandpa laughed.
"It's written all over your face! You just have to see how you look at him!"
"Do you think he's noticed?" Jisung brought his hands to his red cheeks to try and calm them, but it didn't work.
"No, crushes are so dumb that they never notice anything." laughed the elder, dismissing the question with a wave of his hand.
Jisung laughed too. He then realize how this time was probably the last he was going to see grandpa. He wasn't planning to ever come back to this town, this was just a special occasion to show Minho one of his favorites views as a child. But he didn't want to leave just like that, like he had done the first time two years ago.
"Grandpa, I..." he started, taking a deep breath. The old man anticipated what Jisung was going to say. He smiled, a tint of sadness adorning his lips deteriorated with time and age. "I never planned on coming back, and I don't think I will ever again, so I wanted to thank you. If it hadn't been for you I don't even think I would be alive now. Grandpa, you were the only one who accepted me as who I am for the first time in my life and I'm truly grateful to you for that."
The old man walked out of the cashier until he was standing in front of Jisung, embracing the boy in a warm hug.
"Be happy. That's the only thing I'm gonna ask from you."

"Min, wake up. We're here." softly spoke the brunette, shaking the older boy awake.
Minho was happy to see Jisung's face as he opened his eyes. He smiled and started rubbing the sleep off his eyes and stretching his numb limbs.
The car wasn't parked anywhere strange, just in a free spot near a pretty flower shop. The red haired boy wondered where Jisung had taken him, but he couldn't guess much because two seconds after he had climbed out of the car the brunette took one of his hands and started pulling, leading him somewhere.
Minho followed with a gummy smile, not paying attention to where they were going and just focusing on how Jisung's fluffy hair bounced up and down with every excited step the boy took. When the younger suddenly stopped on his tracks, Minho, bumped against his back, his chin hitting directly on Jisung's head.
He jumped back, startled, and started rubbing the spot he had hit. The brunette chuckled as he took Minho's hand away from his chin and touched it with his own instead. The older watched, mesmerized, until Jisung took a step back, his hand leaving the red haired boy's face to fall to his side.
"Close your eyes from here." instructed the puffy-cheeked boy. Just then the older noticed the white plastic back that Jisung carried with his free hand.
They where at the end of a bridge, the sound of running water sounding behind them loud and clear.
"I hope you're not planning to drown me or anything." joked Minho, but still he followed the younger's command.
