It was quarter to one by the time David pulled his car in the driveway. He shut the engine off, unbuckled his seatbelt, and glanced at the digital time on the dashboard screen.

It was late as he could tell and judging by the overly-exhausted woman beside him on the passenger seat, he knew it would take another hour or so for him to get a sleep. But he didn't mind. He wasn't much of a fan of those mandatory eight-hour sleep. As long as he isn't tired when he wakes up, it is fine.

He got out of his car, tucked his phone in the pocket of his pants, and walked around the vehicle to get Jenna. She was sleeping so soundly, so uncaring that David didn't want to disturb but its almost one at night, and she was inside his car sleeping in a position that'll definitely give her a neck strain.

David thought of calling Delilah out to help him get Jenna in. God only knows how much he is trying to stay away from her. From the moment, he laid his eyes on her, bad thoughts that involved him between her legs, her squeezing him and suffocating him until she screamed only his name, garnered their control on his senses.

He couldn't believe he was attracted to his daughter's friend. As incest as it sounds, David cannot bring himself to care about it. It's been a really long time since a woman like Jenna has caught his attention. Forget that, any woman who got close to abuse his mind in the way Jenna has done from the beginning.

With her innocent, soulful blue eyes, the same as him but lighter like early morning sea waters, he knew he was gone. But for the sake of his daughter, he had stopped his thoughts from detouring into a place he couldn't ever go.

Jenna is off-limits.

And this is what people usually do to someone they have labeled as such.

David took his phone out and speed dial one to Delilah. His only favorite human in the world. But it looks like his favorite human has forgotten to charge her phone again.

Cursing, he cut the call and walked back and forth in contemplation. Now what? He obviously wasn't gonna leave her out here alone. Nor, was he thinking of going inside the house and fetch Delilah.

He is stuck.

Exactly, how it had been a couple of hours ago when Delilah told him to get Jenna. He was trying to stay away from her, but hearing the concern in his daughter's voice for her friend and scowling at the time, he knew he had to go to her. It was late and he was twice worried for her.

Even angry for staying out so late and not informing anyone. He had thought of scolding her and giving her some big parent-like talk because he is accustomed to it having raised a daughter during his youth year. He is habited to it now, however when he saw her alone at the office, sitting so tiredly in her chair, a look he is familiar with. He couldn't.

Thankfully, he thought of stopping by a food court and getting her dinner otherwise the guilt of picking her up so late in the office empty-hand no less would eat him alive. His common sense and what people usually do while pulling overtime helped him.

Jenna was hungry and he was right about her being empty stomach. Maybe that's why she was sleeping so soundly. The mixture of exhaustion and a full stomach is enough to make anyone sleep like a panda. Just like she was right now.

Shoulders so light and passed out, neck loosely limping by the seatbelt, her head pressed against the headrest and eyes shut so sound full, David gave a second thought to carry her inside. What's the worst that would happen?

He didn't waste another minute analyzing other options as he quickly yet carefully unbuckled her seatbelt and pushed her seat backward with the help of the lever underneath. Jenna moves and her head drops on his shoulder, causing all sorts of electrical damage to his insides.
