Kai's P.O.V
Me and Skylor headed down the science corridor, hoping to find Zane and Pixel there.
"I'm surprised they aren't here, I thought this would be exactly where we find them, and also not forgetting the library." I say.
"You know Kai, there's an old saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover," Skylor said as she continued walking down the hall.
"And your point exactly?" I ask her.
"Zane and Pixel might be mega smart, but that doesn't mean they're just nerds, they're more than that." Skylor says.
Oh, yeah, I guess I've just known Zane for so long and I've always known he's been at the top of the class, even in kindergarten. He could recite numbers to twenty like a pro while I still couldn't even figure out how to take off my shoes.
We continued to search, now my impatience was getting the better of me.
So I decided to pass the time with some jokes.
"Are we in science class, because I feel chemistry between us," I smirked.
Skylor looks back at me and I suddenly regret saying that, but then a smirk appears across her beautiful face.
"Is that the best you got?" She asked me.
"Oh please, there's more where that came from," I smirked.
So we challenged each other to see who had the better pick-up lines. And after some time, Skylor started to run out while I kept going.
"You are such a flirt," Skylor smirked.
"Am I now?" I asked and raised my eyebrows, also giving her a wide smile, hoping she would keep going.
But instead, Skylor becomes redder than her hair.
I then get the sudden urge to do something I've been wanting to do for a while now.
I lean in closer towards her and she does too.
I suddenly start to second guess myself, when Skylor cuts me off guard and quickly leans in and presses her lips onto mine.
I passionately kiss back and wrap my arms around her, pressing her against me.
She snakes her arms around my neck and tilts her head.
When we both pull away for oxygen, both our faces are redder than my hoodie.
"I love you Skylor." I say softly.
"I was hoping you say that." She says softly back and leans in for another kiss.
