When I arrived at home, I unlocked the door to the apartment building. That's the complete opposite against the world outside. In the cold stairwell, it smelled of basement room and the light, which also switches on during the day via a motion detector, flickered at irregular intervals. I had really tried to find a nice apartment at the time and yes, my apartment is really beautiful, but when you think about the stairwell, there is definitely still room for improvement.

I unlocked the apartment and put my bag in my room and then went into the living room. Through the glass door that led to the balcony, I saw the turquoise-blue ocean and the many boats sailing on it. I am very happy that I got this apartment for a good rent. This outlook is priceless.

After drinking a glass of water, I went to my room. My white piano stood in front of the wall. It shone kindly and invited me to play. I smiled and sat down on the comfortable, black chair. All it took was to put my fingers on the keys and they did the rest by themselves. As if by itself, my hands flew over the white and black rectangles and created a melody. It got built by my emotional world and adapted completely to how I felt. Confused, empty and yet there was a quiet positive feeling. I didn't know where that came from. It was just there, like a little light in a corner of my heart.

When the last note had sounded, I remained silent for a few more moments, the melody still echoed in my ears. She had no script, no boundaries and no written notes. It was created completely out of my heart. Playing always frees me and knowing that my entire emotional world was involved somehow felt even better. They are my melodies. A mirror of my soul.

I closed the piano and went to bed. I wanted to sleep. Just sleep. I definitely lacked peace.

I sat down on a big stone on top of the cliffs and laid my head on my pulled knees. I heard the waves smashing against the rocks at the foot of the canyon. I always have my peace up here. To this day, I have never met anyone other than myself. Yes, right, until today.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and the next moment a person sat right next to me. I turned my head so that I could recognize the person. My heart was beating faster. It was Charles, the man who saved me. What is he doing here and why is he just sitting next to me? While I stared at him irritated, he looked out at the blue sea with a smile. He radiated peace and tranquility. And the longer I sat next to him, this mood colored on me. I calmed down and then I really caught myself putting my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes and relaxing.

I blinked when I heard a thrilling noise. Where did that suddenly come from? There is no reception up here, so not Charles and not me would get a call. Now that we're talking about Charles, did he change his position? It doesn't feel the same anymore. I opened my eyes and immediately sat up in my bed.  Oh Fuck! I rubbed my eyes and exhaled hard. Disappointed, I sank back into the pillows. I had to let it sink first that it was all nothing more than a dream. And the fact that I had dreamed of Charles didn't make it any better.
