Y/n felt quite out of place at the party, with her friends nowhere to be seen. She had been wandering, trying to find someone familiar when she stumbled upon what she thought was an empty room. Thinking it would be the perfect hiding spot until she could get a hold of her friends, she pushed the door open, only to find a curly-headed boy sitting on a couch, lost in his thoughts.
"Oh," Y/n hesitated in the doorway, not wanting to intrude. "Sorry, I thought it'd be vacant in here."
"It's okay," the boy replied, his English accent immediately catching Y/n's attention. "You can stay if you want."
"Are you sure?" Y/n asked, still standing awkwardly in the doorway. "I'd understand if you wanted to be alone."
The boy smiled, revealing adorable dimples on either side of his cheeks. "I'm sure. I could use the company," he said, patting the seat beside him.
Feeling a little hesitant but also curious, Y/n sat beside the boy. He introduced himself as Harry, and Y/n couldn't help but notice how his eyes sparkled when he looked at her.
"I'm Y/n," she replied, blushing as she dropped Harry's gaze.
For the next hour, the two of them talked about everything and anything, their conversation flowing easily. Y/n was wholly engrossed in the discussion, forgetting to text her friends for a rescue. With Harry beside her, she no longer felt like she needed it.
