Kept looking back as I walked away,
Regretting the moments I didn't turn around,
Wishing I could watch you forever.
Fear crept in—
Would I lose my mind again?
Would I start hoping for you again?
Today, I longed to tell you how great it felt
When you held it, when you were there,
How I didn't want you to leave.
I wanted to stay by your side,
Kept searching for that one last glance.
But my thoughts were overwhelmed with you,
And instead of staying, I turned away.
Today, I wanted to tell you everything,
But deep down, I knew you'd never listen.
