February 1994

Jade POV

As I sat outside the dessert parlor, the afternoon sun casting a warm glow, I found myself caught in a conversation with T.A. He insisted that I needed to relax and hang out a bit so naturally I complied. Dressed in a white adidas T-shirt and blue jeans, I noticed that he was not wearing his Death Row chain, but I quickly pushed that thought to the back of my mind. Taking a sip of my strawberry milkshake, I quickly wipe the straw not wanting it to go my flowery sundress. Dre bought it for me and I didn't wanna ruin it.

"T, you know this feud between Ruthless Records and Death Row, it's tearing things apart," I lamented, swirling the straw in my drink absentmindedly. "I wish they'd just put an end to it all."

T.A, leaning back in his chair, his eyes focused, nodded slowly. "I hear you, Jade. But you know, it's not that simple. Those things, they run deep. It's hard to just call a truce when there's so much history there."

I sighed, understanding the complexity of it all. "Yeah, I get it. But imagine the impact if they could just set aside their differences, focus on the music."

"They've got their reasons," T.A replied, his tone carrying a weight of experience. "Sometimes, it's more than just the music. Personal stuff, pride... it all mixes in."

The topic shifted, and T.A, ever curious, probed gently about my own future. "What about you, Jade? You and Dre... where do you see this going? What about your plans?"

I couldn't help but smile, thinking of Dre and our shared dreams. "We're figuring it out, day by day. He's got so much ahead with his music, and I'm right there with him, supporting, building. As for me, well, I'm diving into my own projects, trying to make a mark, you know?"

T.A nodded, a glint of admiration in his eyes. "That's the way to go. Building your own path while walking alongside another's. Keep pushing, Jade."

As the conversation continued to weave through the currents of our lives, T.A's question about family brought a moment of pause. His eyes held a mix of curiosity and understanding as he ventured further.

"Jade, have you ever thought about starting a family with Dre?" T.A's voice carried a sense of genuine curiosity.

I felt a hint of uncertainty flicker within me. It wasn't that I hadn't thought about it; the idea of a future with Dre, creating a family together, it lingered like a cherished dream. But the timing, that was the elusive factor.

"I... yeah, I've thought about it," I admitted, swirling the melting ice in my glass. "I mean, I want that. Kids, marriage, the whole deal. But you know Dre, he's got so much on his plate right now. Settling down might not be in the immediate cards."

T.A nodded knowingly. "Yeah, he's got his empire to build. Timing's everything, especially in this game."

A pang of longing mingled with practicality washed over me. "I'm just not sure when he'll want to settle, you know? It's a balance between his vision and what I hope for."

"It's a tough spot to be in, no doubt," T.A replied, his tone empathetic. "But hey, when the time's right, it'll happen. Sometimes it just takes a little patience and understanding."

We delved into a thoughtful silence, the weight of those unspoken desires hanging in the air. Dre's ambitions were colossal, and I admired that about him. But there were personal aspirations woven into the tapestry of my dreams as well.

"I'll give it time," I finally said, a sense of resolution in my voice. "We'll figure it out when the moment's right. For now, it's about supporting each other's journeys."
