Oh lovely, child abandonment

Lo'ak glances around, not seeing Mä'zu or Neteyam anywhere and Lo'ak thinks that perhaps he should've waited for them.

But what's done is done, so Lo'ak urges his Ilu to where he sees Ao'nung and his friends up ahead, at the border of the reef, where one the villagers told Lo'ak he'd find them.

"What's forest boy doing here?" Ongu asks mockingly.

Lo'ak ignores him and looks at Ao'nung.

"I'm sorry I hit you...so many times." Lo'ak says, not really meaning the apology, he's only doing it because his father made him.

Ao'nung looks at Lo'ak skeptically and then Ao'nung looks over at his friend, Koro, who smirks and nods, having an idea to get back at Lo'ak.

Ao'nung turns back to Lo'ak and offers his hand out to him.

"Ahh, we should be friends." Ao'nung says.

Lo'ak's eyes light up at the possibility of making new friends, and he eagerly grabs Ao'nung's arm.

"Come hunting with us, outside the reef. It's where the man hunt." Ao'nung says firmly.

"No way, I'm not allowed." Lo'ak protests.

Ao'nung pulls his arm away from Lo'ak.

"I asked the wrong brother I see." Ao'nung says tauntingly.

Lo'ak's expression hardens. He is so sick of everyone comparing him to Neteyam.

Lo'ak isn't his older brother. He's not a mighty warrior. He is Lo'ak, not Neteyam.

"Let's do it." Lo'ak says firmly.

Ao'nung's eyebrow raises as Lo'ak agrees after some taunting but it doesn't deter Ao'nung from looking pleased and he hands his Speargun over to Lo'ak.

"Good. You won't regret it." Ao'nung says as he turns to Koro and the others.

"Come on, everyone." Ao'nung commands.

Koro's grin widens as he sees the excited look on Lo'ak's face.

Lo'ak follows the other and their Ilus, jumping in and out of the water on his Ilu with them.

"KEEP UP, FOREST BOY!" Ao'nung yells at Lo'ak as they lead him outside the reef.

The group come to a stop outside the reef, by Three Brothers rocks and catch their breath.

"Hey, he lived." Koro says playfully, gesturing to Lo'ak.

Lo'ak pants heavily, his heart pounding from the intensity of the ride here.

"That was... insane, cuz!" Lo'ak says happily as he looks at Ao'nung.

Ao'nung's friends laugh and Ao'nung tilts his head to the side.

"This way, I know a good spot." Ao'nung says.

Ao'nung smiles at Koro who smiles and nods his head.

Ao'nung, Lo'ak and the others submerge under water to the spot and when they get there they dismount their Ilus.

Ao'nung peers around a coral structure, seeing the group of fish and he turns to Lo'ak.

'Call the fish.' Ao'nung signs and makes a sound in the back of his throat to demonstrate how.

Lo'ak nods and gives Ao'nung a thumbs up before swimming forward, Speargun at the ready and he makes the same sound Ao'nung did.

Ao'nung turns around to face his friends with a smug smile.

'What a moron!' Ongu signs.

Ao'nung glances back at Lo'ak who's still trying to attract fish before Ao'nung  turns to his friends again and signs for them to go, and so they swim off, mounting their Ilus leaving Lo'ak alone.
