On the main ship, Kiri looks down at Tuk as she continues to tug against her cuffs as they're held captive on the mid-deck.

Quaritch who'd been watching Mä'zu's death through binoculars, slowly lowers the binoculars, handing them to Lyle who'd came over and Quaritch pulls Mä'zu's stolen comms out of his pocket.

"Can you hear me, Corporal?" Quaritch asks Jake through Mä'zu's comms.

The sound of Quaritch's voice causes  anger to rise in the pit of Jake's stomach, fueling a burning desire for revenge and as quickly as he'd started, he stops sobbing. He wants to tear Quaritch apart for what he's done, for taking away someone so precious.

Jake's wants to respond, wants to scream and yell and curse at Quaritch, but the words get stuck in Jake's  throat.

The pain and grief are too overwhelming, too raw. Jake  clenches his jaw, his anger and hatred for Quaritch growing with every beat of the bastard's cold black heart.

Meanwhile, Neteyam's focus is entirely on Mä'zu, his heart aching with a pain that seems unbearable.

The sound of Quaritch's voice barely registers in Neteyam's  grief stricken state. He hugs his deceased lover's lifeless body tighter, as if trying to hold onto the last remnants of her warmth.

Neytiri can faintly hear Quaritch's voice through the comms, but her mind is too clouded by grief to fully process it. She keeps screaming in pain, her heart feeling like it's being ripped apart.

Neytiri can't focus on anything but the sight of Mä'zu's lifeless body and this overwhelming sense of sadness and grief.

As Lo'ak hears Quaritch's voice over the Comms, Lo'ak  suddenly stiffens, a sense of dread and anger flooding through him. His grief and disbelief give way to a burning fury that ignites in his heart like a wildfire.

For the briefest moment, everything seems to fade away except for that voice. But then the reality of what is standing before Lo'ak  sinks in as he looks down at Mä'zu's   lifeless body. All anger is replaced by a deep, aching despair.

Tsireya's heart aches as she stares at Mä'zu's lifeless body.

Tsireya feels as if this is all just a bad dream. She keeps expecting Mä'zu to wake up and smile, to say it was all just a bad dream. But as the seconds tick by and nothing happens, the painful reality starts to set in.

"Yeah... yeah I think you can." Quaritch answers himself in the Comms as he only gets silence from Jake.

"You know, it's a damn shame about the girl. She didn't deserve to get caught up in this mess. She had her whole life ahead of her." Quaritch continues speaking into the Comms, feigning a note of sympathy in his voice, though his words drip with cruelty.

Kiri and Tuk  exchange fearful, wide eyed looks, their hearts pounding in their chests. They have  no idea who the girl is, but the gravity of the situation was is. Someone they know is gone.

A sense of dread washes over Kiri as the possibilities start to sink in. She tries to push down the thought that it might be her mum, or Mä'zu or Tsireya. The idea of losing any one of them is too painful to bear. But the uncertainty is eating Kiri  alive.

Tuk's heart plummets at the thought of it being someone close to her. The thought of it being her mother or her best friend Mä'zu, is too much to bear.

But then Tuk's mind goes to the other option, her friend, Tsireya. The thought of it being either of them is unbearable.

Kiri is lost in her thoughts, trying to figure out who could have died when Tuk suddenly goes stiff beside Kiri.
