Love Bites (Liam Payne Fanfic)

Chapter 2

 "Go on home, lay down in bed, and fall sleep. This was all just a dream." I told the lady once I was finished. She nodded and walked away slowly. My power came in handy quite well, especially if someone saw something they shouldnt have.

 It was a nice night out so I decided to take a walk. The town was buzzing with people, groups of older people came from bars, teenagers caused chaos in shops, little kids begged their parents to get some ice cream, and old couples sat on benches talking. I envied the older couples, growing old with the person they loved most in this world, being able to grow old, knowing when their time was up. Thats what I wanted most, to be able live one live and then finally die. But thats not what God wanted of me, he wanted me live for eternity, to make me suffer for the mistakes of my previous life, to think and learn from my other mistakes.

 My walk consisted of going straight through town and onto the bridge on the opposite side. I could see clearly, with the full moon and the many stars, a boy sat alone on the railing of the bridge. His body faced out, towards the speedy current that was a river. I tapped into his thoughts and was not so shocked by what I heard. He thought about how meaningless life was, all he wanted to do was jump and be swept away by the water, but what would the others think? He worried about his family and how jumping would kill them, but he didnt care, that was a small price to pay for all the hurt he recieved daily.

 His mind was set, he would certainly jump, but savored the last few seconds he would get to live. Closing his eyes, he slowly started to tilt his body forward. I couldnt just watch him kill himslef, even though thats what i wanted most. Before he could let go of the railing I used my speed and pulled him back onto the safety of the concrete bridge.

 "What was that for?!" He yelled at me.

 "I think I just saved your miserable life! You ungrateful human!" I yelled back and began to walk away. I was halfway across the bridge when a strong emotion hit me, love. No, it couldnt be, I only saved him, he cant be the one! I screamed in my head. I had only just met him, but i did feel small electric shocks when i touch him.

 "Whats your name?" He wanted my attention. I turned to face him, he had walked the short distance and was directly in front of me now.

 "Riley, my name is Riley."

 "I'm Liam, Liam Payne."

 "Well, Im glad your safe, Liam." I tried to walk away agin, but he grabbed my arm and spun me back around. The tingling feeling intensified and radiated up my arm. I knew he felt it too because he loosened his grip and looked from his hand to my eyes.

 "Do you feel that too?" He asked.

 "Yeah." This time I actually looked at his face. He had side-swept hair the color of sweet carmel. His eyes too were brown, a deep, creamy, chocolate brown that I seemed to get lost in. Twisted in a smile his perfect, kissable lips begged me to kiss them. Overall, his face was just perfect, no flaws, high cheek bones and a slightly rounded face shape. My heart told me he was the one i was put on this earth to love and be with for eternity, but my head said no, you cant have him, hes too perfect to be with a freak like you!
