"Joy, honey?" Both Sehun and Sooyoung turned towards where the voice came from.
Sehun immediately stiffened in his place, looking at Sungjae who was standing not so far from them. There was a smile tugging on his lips, a smile that Sehun wished to erase as soon as possible.
He simply hated it.
"S-sungjae," Sehun watched with creases on his forehead as Sooyoung walked towards the guy before she was pulled into a hug.
To be honest, he didn't know what to do now he got to see his girlfriend. Yes, his intention of coming here was to get an explanation, but he wanted it from no one else but Sooyoung and her parents.
The issue now was he didn't even catch a glimpse of the girl's parents.
"Joy, can you go up to our room first? I want to have a chat with our guest." Sehun felt like his ears were bleeding as he listened to Sungjae's artificial voice.
That place could've been his.
Sehun remained static as he saw Sooyoung glancing slightly at him with a look that was difficult to interpret. She somehow looked...worried?
"Go, honey." Without saying anything, Sooyoung followed her husband's order, reluctantly stepping out of the living room.
Now, there were only Sehun and Sungjae, looking at each other with no words spoken.
"So, Oh Sehun." Their eyes locked together and there was this intensity between them that couldn't be described.
"Please have a seat." Offered Sungjae, his voice was as cold as ice. There was no longer a smile adorning his lips.
"So, why are you here?" He questioned as soon as Sehun took a seat on the couch opposite of him.
"I want to talk to Mr. Park." That was all Sehun said.
"Sorry to break it to you, but I'm the owner of this house, so if anything, you'll have to talk to me. If you don't want to, then be my guest and walk out of that door. I suggest you never come back after that." Sehun gritted his teeth, listening to Sungjae's arrogant reply.
"Who are you? How are you married to Sooyoung? Where are Mr. and Mrs. Park? Why is this house your property?" Sehun bombarded the other with questions, but all he got as a reply was a laugh.
"You're so funny, Oh Sehun. Coming here just to ask all that? You could've just sent me a message." Sungjae chuckled.
"Drop the act, you piece of sht. I want an answer, not your meaningless empty words!" Sehun had lost his patience. His hands slammed the small glass table that separated the two of them.
"Chill, dude. I was about to answer." Sungjae gave him a crooked smile, making his blood boil.
Sehun honestly wanted to punch his face until it was bruised and bleeding. All he wanted at the moment was for the crazy man in front of him to be hospitalised or worse, dead.
"First question, I think you already know who I am. Second, it's true that Joy, I mean Sooyoung is my wife. We've been married for three weeks now and we're planning to have a baby soon." Sehun found himself biting his lip hard, holding back the anger that was bubbling up.
"What about her parents? Well, they're gone for good." Sungjae casually said, leaning back with ease.
"What do you mean?" Sehun was beyond confused, his brows furrowed. "Did you kill them?!" His eyes widened as he thought of that one possibility.
Sungjae laughed out loud, making Sehun look at him strangely.
He eventually took note of how mental the guy was and that just gave him another reason to save Sooyoung from this place. He could sense that the girl was being held captive.
