"W-who are you?" Haebin couldn't believe what she heard. No. She didn't want to believe it.
The girl continued to look at Sehun with wide eyes.
Sooyoung who was caught between them was also looking very confused as she silently watched the two friends.
"You don't remember me, Sehun?" Haebin finally found her voice and managed to ask. She slowly took a step forward.
"Sehun?" She called again when her question was left unanswered.
A minute of silence before suddenly a laugh erupted from Sehun. The boy only stopped laughing when he felt pain in his abdomen.
"I'm just kidding, Haebin. You should look at your face. It was very funny." He said, chuckling.
Haebin who just realised that she was being pranked, without hesitation walked towards the boy and hit him on the shoulder with all her might. She ignored his cries and complaints, continuing to punch the boy.
"Ow, Haebin-ah! I'm sorry, okay? I've been wanting to do what actors do in dramas since forever." Sehun said, rubbing the spot where he got hit after Haebin finally calmed down.
"Well, it's not funny at all." Haebin blew her bangs and took a deep breath, looking away as she felt the hot tears coming.
"Haebin..." She heard Sehun's small voice.
"I'll leave you two alone. You guys must have a lot of things to talk about." Haebin said without looking at the boy and stepped out of the room before she eventually let the tears flow.
She was beyond happy that Sehun finally woke up. She was glad that he was alive and breathing well. She was also grateful to know that he was still the Sehun she knew.
But why was she crying?
She was definitely not crying out of joy because as the tears were flowing, her heart was hurting. If only she could pull out her heart for a while and reattach it when she felt like living again.
The girl took a peek into Sehun's room one last time. The boy was smiling at none other than Park Sooyoung, his dream girl.
Haebin's heart clenched at the sight. How would it feel if she was the one in Sooyoung's place?
She let out a heavy sigh, her head hung low. She then roughly wiped away the tears.
She hated herself.
Hated herself for falling in love again.

That same night, Haebin decided to spend her time on the balcony of her room, with hot chocolate as a drink.
She was silently looking at the night view of Seoul that she thought never disappoints. The sky was also so clear that she could even see glimpses of moving clouds.
Her eyes glanced at the phone next to her.
She was actually torn between whether she wanted to call Sehun or not.
If she calls him, what would they talk about? And if she doesn't, would she turn into a bad friend?
But she didn't want to be just a friend to him.
This is stupid, Haebin. You shouldn't be like this.
Haebin scooped her face with her hands, letting out a sigh of frustration.
If before she had asked for Sehun's help in order to forget about Jongin, who would she ask for help this time if she wanted to forget about Sehun?
Yerim.
Finally, she picked up her phone and dialed Yerim's number. One ring and her voice was heard.
"Yeri? Can you come to my house?" Haebin asked. No answer from the other side before she heard Yerim's reply.
"10 minutes." And the call ended.
Exactly 10 minutes later, the sound of the passcode being pressed and the door opening was heard. Haebin did nothing as she waited on the balcony before she felt someone's hand tapping on her shoulder.
"Hey," Yerim greeted.
"What's wrong?" The girl sat down next to her friend and asked straight away as if she knew the reason Haebin called for her.
Well, they had been friends for years, so it was not surprising at all for Yerim to know what Haebin was like.
"I fall in love." Haebin bluntly said, and a sigh was heard coming from Yerim.
"With who?" Yerim asked.
"Sehun." Silence. Yerim didn't say anything, she just kept silent, waiting for Haebin's next sentence.
"I don't know when I started to love him, Yeri. All this time, I thought I only loved him as a friend. But if what I thought was true, why was it that when he's near, my heart kept pounding like crazy? Why when I saw his smile, did I feel like I didn't need anything else in the world?" Haebin expressed what she had been feeling in one breath.
"Can I turn back time? What should I do to stop loving him?" Her tears naturally flowed as she gazed at the night view in front of them.
"Keep the distance between you two. I don't know what to say other than that because that's the only way for now. But Haebin-ah," Yerim halted.
"There's nothing wrong with you falling in love with Sehun. He's a good man who always takes care of you. If I were you, I would probably fall in love with him as well." Haebin stayed silent, listening to Yerim's words attentively.
"So, take your time. Make a choice when you're ready." Finished Yerim.
Haebin turned to her friend with a frown. "Choice?"
"Yes, choice. You have options, right? Whether you want to forget him or chase after him." Replied Yerim and Haebin was honestly stunned.
"You will support me no matter what I choose?" Haebin questioned, eyebrows raising.
"Of course. I'm your friend, Bin-ah." Yerim smiled sincerely.
Haebin returned the smile before pulling her friend into a hug. She was so lucky to have a friend like Yerim who supported her through everything.
"Alright, alright." Yerim loosened the hug.
"Now, if you want to chase him, you can't be like this. You have to show what you're made of. You have to make sure that he sees you and only you. Understand?"
"Yah, he has a girlfriend, Yeri. Why would I want to ruin their relationship? Do you even realise that we're talking about people's hearts and feelings? They're not trivial matters." Haebin shook her head, wiping away the remaining tears on her face.
"Do I look like I care about all that? The important thing is that my friend is happy. So, the only thing that matters is your feeling." Yerim said, looking directly into Haebin's eyes.
"But," Yerim spoke again. "Please don't look so desperate while chasing him." Haebin's hand automatically went to hit her friend's shoulder as hard as she could.
"Ouch! What? I'm giving you some good advice. What if you end up chasing him for years, and he still doesn't look at you? Won't you stop and find someone else? You surely don't want to be single forever, right?!" Yerim continued to babble as she avoided all the hits coming from the other.
"Stop talking nonsense, will you? I haven't even decided whether I want to chase after him or not." The words that Haebin had been wanting to say eventually came out of her mouth.
She sighed in her place. Talking to Yerim somewhat relieved her troubled mind, but she still had a choice to make.
Before she could even feel relaxed again, her phone suddenly rang and she mindlessly reached for it before her eyes widened, noticing the name of the caller written on the screen.
It's Sehun.
