Once we exited the theater Ley thanked me and offered to give my jacket back. I told her that she could keep it for now because I noticed she was still shivering. Carmel spotted a toy store and as boys our primal instinct was to go in and so we did. Nico and Ley was nowhere around the store, they were probably so disappointed in us. After me and Carmel spent some quality time laughing at children’s toys we found Nico and Ley standing outside with disappointed looks on their faces.
While we were walking, Nico whispered to me “Ley looks happier than before doesn’t she?” I whispered back “She does, yeah”. She followed up teasing me “Maybe it’s because of you, wink wink” she also followed with a smug face. I just gave her the look.
Ley walking around with an oversized jacket made me and Nico laugh, Carmel was clueless on why we were laughing so we had to let him in on it. Nico whispered it and Carmel laughed but he made it obvious on what he was laughing at. Ley gave me back my jacket shortly after.
This mall was going to be unforgettable to us because of the memories we’ve made there. But there I also had to make a difficult decision. Do I continue to like Ley I mean she still might be hurting and it’s kind of insensitive to like her right after their breakup.
The mall trip was coming to and end. We headed to the parking and Carmel opened his car. All of us hopped inside and I signaled Ley to look at her phone. I texted her saying “I bought something for you but don’t say it out loud they might tease us.” I opened my bag and secretly gave it to her. Unfortunately, Nico saw this from the mirror at the top and texted me saying “I don’t want Carmel to tease you too but like I’m starting to think you like her.” I responded with my thoughts and texted “I like her but I don’t know if I should like her because it’s kind of insensitive.”. Nico responded back “why is it insensitive?” I of course texted back the reason “Because she just went though a breakup”. Nico just had a face showing that she just realized something. There, I made the decision to keep liking her and see where this goes.
