final top 9

final top 9 are revealed now.

I'm so nervous, this is the first time the ranking is revealed in front of audiences. a huge huge audience too.

" the ranked 9 trainee is... " my heartbeats loudly. "han yujin" We all clapped and cheered for Yujin. he went and gave his speech.

slowly the rest of the ZB1 members were called, but my name wasn't. So weren't Keitas and Phanbin or Hoetaek. Though Hoetaek told us earlier not to worry if his name isn't called as he knew he wouldn't be in the final lineup. then, the top 1 position is between zhanghao and shanbin.

then it's revealed that it's zhanghao,  that he won first place. that news made me jump in joy. I'm so proud of him. we've been close, ever since I joined yuhua, he's been taking care of me as well as the other yuehua trainees. I made eye contact with ollie and yunseo and we all cheered. kuanjui is no doubt zhanghao biggest fan. we're all proud of him. not to mention, theres 2 other yuehua K trainees, and ricky yuehua G trainee along with zhanghao up there.

after cheering for top 9, its like we all got snapped back to reality when they said that, now there's only one seat left. maybe I'm not debuting today. there's keita and park hanbin, what are the odds that's its me.

with only one spot left it's impossible for me to debut with either Keita, parkhanbin or I don't know at this point everyone is super talented. I'm praying right now. "the rank 10 trainee will be revealed shortly," star master said, at this point they're wasting time. stop playing with me man, my heart has been badom badoming none stop.

creating tension and suspense. I grabbed onto Keita and hanbins hands, they were beside me, also because they're my best friends.

" the final top 10 rank... goes to..."

my heart beats like a drum, it just keeps going faster and faster. my palms starting to sweat, and my stomach churning. oh gosh.

" trainee jiaqi " he said and the hands that I used to squeeze my best friend's hands loosened and I turned to stare at them. lips wobbly as tears swarm down my face.

relief. I feel relief and then after awhile realisation... guilt. they did so well, who am I to take their place? phanbin pulled me into his arms almost immediately. "good job jiaqi." he told me and I just kept crying.

" don't feel sorry for us okay," he asked me and I nodded. Keita came and hugged me next. "I'm so proud of you jiaqi, good job," he told me smiling.

his smile, " I'm so happy for you " he told me. then I went and hugged the others. "congratulations jiaqi"

" mm," I couldnt even manage a word, wiping my tears and trying my best to not choke over my words. " firstly, thank you to the star creators for showing me immense support and love. I wouldn't be able to be here today without you guys. secondly, thank you to my parents, whom I love you so much. thank you for encouraging me and supporting me." I said smiling, I managed to say that without my voice breaking yet.

but next, thanking the trainees...

" saving the best for the last, thank you to all my fellow trainees. all 98 of you, thank you for all the memories we made, all the laughter we have shared and for taking care of me. I'll forever be grateful for you guys." I started my voice breaking with every sentence.

" thank you Keita, hanbin for taking care of me like I was your sister. even though we didn't debut together here. just know that I will always be chasing the same dream you guys are chasing. we'll be chasing it together, maybe at a different pace, but together." I couldn't continue I felt choked up.

"every trainee for loving me, caring for me. as well as my members of Zerobaseone who have always without fail made me laugh, happy and safe. I'm so thankful, and I'll never regret a thing. I love you all so so much. thank you for everything. I hope everyone will be happy. " I said bowing.

I'm not sure if whatever I said made sense, at this point I'm just trying not to start hyperventilating in front of the many star creators here tonight. I also forgot my speech halfway, because I couldn't think straight with all the tears falling out of my eyes, so I was just rambling.

I slowly made my way up the stage where my members came and congratulated me. gunwook came and told me, "See I beat you"

gyuvin came and gave me a tight tight hug, and so did all the other guys. zhanghao, my self-proclaimed mother let a big smile form on his face. "I was so relieved when your name was called" he told me rubbing my back.

I made my way to my seat and waved to the star creators who were calling to me. "Don't cry!! you did well!" a few said and I thanked them.

we stood up and star master Lee Minhyuk introduced us as " zerobaseone ". it was all smiles at the top but below on the stage we were performing earlier, we know that they were hurt, upset, but happy for us.

Once they said we could go down, "Jiaqi let's go down" Gunwook said grabbing my hand and leading me down the steps.

gunwook went to Junhyeon while I went to Phanbin and Keita. "we're proud of you jiaqi" Keita said. "really" he still maintained his smile.

I pulled them into a hug. I have so many things I want to say to them but I can't. "you guys have to introduce yourself as Zerobaseone, I'll see you later" Keita told me and they all left the stage.

leaving us, zerobaseone members. Sung Hanbin came and hugged me. "you did well jiaqi," he told me and I nodded and replied, "you too". we then stood in a like and looked at all the star creators. my heart beating fast and loud, so this is what it feels like.

gyuvin stood beside me, out of everyone the tallest one had to stand beside me... I must look incredibly short now, then taerae joined on my other side. smiling at me, and holding my hand.

" can you guys introduce yourself, who wants to lead?" star master asked. "how about our only girl lead" Jiwoong suggested giving me an encouraging smile.

they all did actually, I was standing in the centre and they all looked at me showing me their brightest smile.

" let's bow on the count of three " I said without the mic, "1, 2,3" Then I brought the mic up. "hello everyone, we are zerobaseone" I said and cheers grew in the hall.

we smiled and waved to all the star creators. thank you, star creators, for making my dream come through, I love you.
