Chapter sixteen
Harry hummed contently to himself as he folded the baby clothes into the draws of the cabinet that he was sitting next to while splitting the clothes in two different sections, the other half ready to go into the second cabinet for the other twin.
He glanced up when Alexander strolled into the room and sat opposite him, but didn't say anything when he caught the thoughtful look on the man's face, instead he carried on humming away to himself and watched out the corner of his eye as Alexander picked up some baby things and inspected them before folding them and putting them back into their pile.
"How does it feel being ready to be a grandfather for the first time?" Harry asked softly when Alexander seemed stumped for what to do.
"I'm not sure honestly, at first it was exciting, but now it comes closer, it seems a little surreal thinking that my little boy is going to have a little boy of his own," Alexander chuckled.
"It will be exciting though, three babies, I'm glad that the twins will have a cousin close in age to play with, and Darius and Lucien's baby will have friends to play with," Harry hummed happily again.
"It is an exciting time, and a blessed time for our family. Darius and Lucien are so excited, though I think Lucien is happier with the weekly chats you two have been having, knowing that he doesn't have to be a first time bearer by himself," Alexander smiled.
"Honestly, I don't think I would be half as calm as I am without those chats with Lucien either, though I do believe that he is feeling a little bit of glee and relief knowing we will have double the work" Harry laughed.
"I believe you are right, I have heard 'Harry and Lucius have it worse,' quite a few times now," Alexander chuckled.
"I am glad we are getting on better," Harry said after a few beats.
"Pardon?" Alexander looked at him a little shocked.
"I may have Slytherin traits Alexander but I am still a Gryffindor. I am glad that we are getting on better, I know you did not like me at first and you definetly didn't trust me. But you mean a lot to Lucius, and it is important that we get along to him," Harry shrugged.
"You really are blunt," Alexander chuckled. "I am glad too though, I was...I over reacted, I just want to see him happy," Alexander sighed.
"We both do," Harry set down the clothes into his lap and looked at Alexander sensing they were close to what Alexander wanted to talk to him about.
"Please tell me you're being careful, if something happens to you, if you get...charged with anything the babies and Lucius...please tell me you're being careful! Those spells are dark!" Alexander blurted out in one go. Harry stared slightly stunned at the uncharacteristic behaviour of the Malfoy.
"You have nothing to worry about, no one is going to trace the spells back to me, I have made sure of that, as has Hermione. There is no way those spells are going to be traced back to me. But to make sure I have a pair of eyes monotoring the investigation into in the Ministry, it seems that the Auror that has been put on the case was cheated on by her husband, and led for a fool for a few years before she found out and disolved the bond. She shockingly has little interest in what she sees as justice served," Harry assured Alexander.
"That is an interesting coincidence," Alexnder snorted.
"Isn't it just. Anyway I am nearly done," Harry shrugged.
"Nearly done?"
"In making sure that that...woman gets what she deserves for what she did to Lucius. And then she is done from our lives,"
