"Gustave, don't run around the house! You'll hurt yourself!" Christine warned.

"But mother, Aunt (Y/n) said she'd teach me to play the piano today!" Gustave said.

"Aunt (Y/n) can teach you later. You have to get packed. We'll be leaving soon." Christine said.

"But-" Gustave started but Christine shushed him.

"Aunt (Y/n) will be coming along too. So, let's get you packed up." Chrisine said. Gustave had a bright smile and rushed up stairs to pack his bags.

It was the year 1891. Ten Years has passed ever since the events of destruction of the Opera Populaire. Christine Daae has remained an Opera singer at a different Opera house. Meg Giry and Madame Giry fled to America to leave their past behind and start anew. (Y/n) de Chagny became a violinist just like Christine's father. She performed at the same Opera house Christine worked at. She was extremely happy to work at the same place as Christine.

Christine and Raoul got married four weeks after the incident. Luckily, (Y/n) was out of the hospital by then and was able to attend the ceremony.

(Y/n) de Chagny also got married a year after Christine and Raoul. Unfortunately, she did not have any choice but to marry this man. Raoul tried to be at (Y/n)'s side and convince their parents that (Y/n) will be just fine living with him and Christine and that she would eventually find someone to marry. But their parents refused, stating that it would not look good for their family name if (Y/n) was not by then married. She had no choice but to accept this arranged marriage.

When (Y/n) and her soon-to-be-husband had first met, he was quite persistent in getting to know (Y/n) and prove to her that he was worth marrying. He would always watch her violin performances and bring her gifts. He as well became friends with Raoul which (Y/n) did not seem to like.

In 1882, (Y/n) de Chagny was married to Henry Whitlock. At the beginning of their marriage, Henry was sweet and very much a gentleman. He continued to watch her violin performances and support her. (Y/n) began to find his presence tolerable. It did help with their marriage not being terrible. But about half a year into their marriage, (Y/n) noticed something different in him. A change. His true self began to show.

(Y/n) never told anyone. Hell, she never told her own brother and sister-in-law/best friend. All they knew was the gambling and drinking addictions the man had. Whenever (Y/n) was able to visit Christine, Raoul, and their child Gustave, it was like a sigh of relief to be out of his house.

Gustave began to receive violin and piano lessons by (Y/n) in 1885. The young boy really loved having the music lessons she gave him. He enjoyed music. Gustave was a sweet boy. Very kind and very curious. Although, his curiosity sometimes got him into trouble.

Christine Daae and (Y/n) de Chagny have been recently invited by Oscar Hammerstein to America to open and perform at his new Manhattan Opera House. Christine thought it as a good idea to expose her and (Y/n)'s talents to the world. Besides, Hammerstein would pay them well. The thought of the money perked (Y/n)'s ears. Because of her "husband's" addictions, he spent so much of her money. It drove her insane.

She wondered if he had married her mostly because of her money and family fortune but she wouldn't be so surprised if that really was the true reason. Even though his addictions and his wasting of money drove her insane, she could never go against him. She wouldn't dare to go against him. He frightened her so much, but she kept that to herself.

The de Chagny's and Whitlock's were now on a train to America. Since each box can contain a maximum of four people in one, the de Chagny's and Whitlock's had to have two separate boxes. (A/N: for the life of me- i cannot remember what those seats are called where it's like a box and its two seats facing each other. but its like on a train. like that harry potter hogwarts express. i can't remember what the heck those boxes are called. are they called boxes? cubicals? i can't remember the right word aaaaaa)
