(Y/n) started to almost visit the Opera Populaire every day. She would give Raoul the excuse that she just wanted to look around for more clues of the phantom, to see Christine, or to see Meg. Then again Raoul didn't exactly mind it because he was able to see Christine through these constant visits. This continued on for two months.

Through these two months, (Y/n) was able to get to know this mysterious man. For one, she was able to learn his name. His name was Erik Destler. She was able to memorize the pathway to his lair.

She was also able to notice certain things about him. For example, Erik-at times- would refer to himself and talk in third person. No idea what the reason was but he just does.

Another thing she had noticed was that he would express his emotion through music. If he were frustrated, he would slam and play loudly on his pipe organ. Music that could almost break glass or music that would terrify. If he were in a good mood or at peace, he would play music that could soften minds and entrance anyone who had listened to it.

Erik had a functioning kitchen in his lair. Surprisingly for an underground lair beneath the opera house. Erik has specifically designed and built it. He created rooms such as two guest rooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a room for himself. These were found through that door (Y/n) had noticed when she first found the lair.

(Y/n) was given permission into his house. But she never stepped foot inside his room. But there was a time she had seen the door open and the first thing she saw was a coffin in the center of the room, as if it were supposed to be a bed. But before she could look further, Erik had closed the door on her.

To (Y/n)'s surprise, not only did Erik have such a stable home beneath the opera house, but Erik also had a cat.

Yes, you read right. A Siamese cat with blue eyes. She wore a gold collar with a white diamond gem attached to it. She went by the name 'Ayesha'. Ayesha was a calm cat. She would lay on a comfy surface and sleep or just watch Erik play at his pipe organ.

(Y/n) liked Ayesha and Ayesha did the same. She would let (Y/n) give her pets or even lay on (Y/n)'s lap if she were to lay down.

Through these small lessons she received, (Y/n) had developed in her singing. Her voice has improved, and she is now able to sing higher notes she had never reached before, and she can hold onto notes longer. Through these lessons, she had learned so much about Erik and had grown close.

She enjoyed his company, his music, and his talks. There were moments where he would ask (Y/n) of her opinion on an opera he is trying to create. As it is still in progress, he wonders if his music is good enough to listen to.

"Mew" Ayesha meowed as she rubbed her head on (Y/n)'s leg. The vicomtesse gave the cat a quick pat before continuing to walk around the underground home.

Erik had left in the morning to go around the opera house. The vicomtesse had arrived at the lair during the afternoon to find Erik still gone. During her time waiting for Erik, she played some music on her violin and fed Ayesha some cat food she had found in the kitchen cabinets.

(Y/n) noticed a mirror door that was slightly ajar. And obviously her curiosity taking over, she took a peek and opened the mirror door. She gasped at the sight.

To her surprise, it was a closet with a mannequin wearing a white wedding dress. But not just any mannequin. It was a mannequin with the face of her dear friend Christine.
