Chapter 1

Hello everyone.
Kathryn Chandria Manuel Bernardo over here.
I'm a single parent to my one and only daughter name Kathyrine Chandria. She was name after me.
Ayon na rin sa kagustuhan ng parents ko.
They was very supportive parents to me and my siblings.
Kahit na single parent ako I still can handle many things. Actually, I have position on Bernardo Corporation.
I also own resort, restaurants and bake shops. Kaya kong pagsaba-sabayin ang busines ko. But one at a time, mapapagkatiwalaan naman ang mga pinahahawak ko sa business so I'm not worried at all.

"Mommy!" My four year old daughter called me.

"Yes, darling?"

"Mommy, can I go there?" She asked.

I was talking with her in my phone. Nasa company ako ni Papa, nasa business trip kasi sya today and I have to attend the board meeting her in our company this afternoon.

I looked at my clock. "Of course darling. Will grandma company you?" I told her.

"Yes mommy! Then after, we're going to go on shopping." Her daughter said.

"Ok darling. See later baby. I love you." I said.

"I love you too, mommy!"

After our conversation I ended the call but before that nakausap ko muna si mama.

"Honey, pakidala naman dito ng mga papers na kailangan kong permahan." I told my assistant.

Minutes after, pumasok sya sa opisina ko dala ang mga papers.

"Thank you!" I said. "Nga pala, pakiremind mamaya sakin ang meeting ha. Baka kasi makalimutan ko." I added.

"Yes, ma'am." She said then lumabas na sya.

I was scanning amd reading all the papers when someone open my door's office.

"Mommy!!!" Kathy shouted then tumakbo palapit sakin.

Muntikan pa sila matumba dahil sa pagyakap nito.

"Be careful, baby. How many times mommy going to tell you that you shouldn't run?" I told her.

"I'm sorry, mommy. I just miss you." Kathy said. "Kashi naman mommy, you're always here in office. Every morning and night ka lang nasha mansion. Unlike before you're the one coming with me in mall." She added.

Naguilty sya sa sinabi ng anak nya. Always kasi syang bahay office lang. Almost a week ng nasa business trip ang papa nya. Kaya kailangan talagang nasa office sya unlike before na kahit papano may time sya sa anak nya.

"I'm sorry too darling. You know grandpa isn't here right? So mommy is the one that should handle the office of grandpa." I told her.

"What do you mean mommy?" Tanung ng bata.

Natawa sya sa tanung nito. Alam kong di pa nya naiintindihan sa murang edad nya ang tungkulin nya sa company nila.

"Someday, you'll understand darling. So where's grandma? I thought she's with you?" I told her.

"She's talking to someone outside mommy. Shabi nya mauna na ako dito. Shushunod na lang daw po sya." Kathy answered.

I just nodded then after that bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa si Mama.

"Oh 'ma. Sinong kausap mo sa labas?" I asked her.

"I saw my friend daughter hija. Dito pala sya nagtatrabaho sa company natin." Her mom says.

"Ah ok. Akala ko naman nagkaproblema." I said.

"Hindi naman anak. How's everything here?" She asked.

"Still going strong 'ma." I answered.
"By the way, sabay-sabay na tayo maglunch mamaya. Mamayang hapon pa naman ang meeting sa board." I added.

"Ok anak. Sobra kang namiss ng anak mo. Everyday na nandito ka sa office, she's always asking kung ano ginagawa mo dito." Kwento ng mama nya.

"Nagiguilty nga ako 'ma. Kasi sabi nya sakin hindi ko na daw sya sinasamahan sa mall." I told her. "But if papa's back, I'm planning to leave para naman makapagbonding kami ni Kathy." I added.

"Don't worry anak. Mabait naman ang anak mo. Maiintindihan nya rin ang part mo sa company. And your plan was a good idea. You need some rest also. Wala ka ng inatupag kundi ang business natin at business mo." Anito.

After that, lumabas kami to take our lunch sa restaurant na pagmamay-ari nya. May branch na malapit lang sa office kaya doon na sila kumain.

Then after our lunch, bumalik na ako sa office to continue my work. Then may meeting din ako sa board ng 2pm. Sila mama naman dumiretso sa mall.
