Chapter 16: i wonder what i look like in your eyes

Oh my fucking god. Holy fucking shit. Why did Ricky have to barge in when Matthew was loosely hanging between both my hands. Gosh, what will Ricky think. Everyone ships us two and it'd be worse if everyone starts assuming about us. I'm so sure that one of the Mattbin shippers is probably one of my friends.

I gently put Matthew down as Ricky slowly enters my hallrooom, chuckling a little bit. What is he laughing at huh? Matthew sighed out of relief and told Ricky to not misunderstand and that he was about to fall off until I saved him. "Okay? Seemed like your boyfriend had intentions." Smirked Ricky while responding. "N-no! Hambin hyung is n-not m-my b-boyfriend!" Exclaimed Matthew. Why is he stuttering huh? Is he a social freak just like me or is he only comfortable around me and Haruto.

"Hey Ricky! Matthew doesn't know you at all so stop scaring him!" I defended him. He then scratched the back of his head and told Matthew and me to chill and that he was kidding.

"I'm Shen Ricky, a transfer student as well! I'm in junior college currently and I'm Sung Hanbins junior. Nice to meet you." He let out a hand, causing Matthew to shake it. "No idea why Hanbin hyung is also friends with Haruto- this kind of interconnects." He smiled again. Ahh! That smile just stands out. "Of course he's my classmate." Replied Ricky. I wish i was their classmate too!

"I'm Seok Matthew, a transfer student from Canada. Hanbin hyung is my seatmate and a good friend." He then introduces himself to Ricky. What do you mean good friends, i thought we were more than that hmph! Good friends don't share hoodies!

Wait! I take that back. I'm not implying that i have a crush on him. Hell no! Why do i keep reminding myself that i genuinely don't like him romantically? I really really really don't like him. He's a good friend. Fuck! I'm being a hypocrite. Damn it.

Again going back to reality, Ricky questioned Matthew, "Uhuh just good friends?" And smirked again. This time, Matthew was so calm and gave that same killer smile again...no! He's so.fucking.handsome.

"Ricky I bet you're the one who made that Mattbin account!" Oops, I kind of spilled the tea . Matthew then shot glares at me and I shivered a little bit, twitching my hands. I thought I should tell him. "Uh Matthew" I addressed. He did a hm. "I t-think w-we're t-trending in o-our s-school f-forum." Gosh, why did I even stutter?

Matthew still kept his composure which surprised me again. "Shit like this happens everywhere I guess. I thought Korea was way behind and never even had school drama which shocks me even more." He said and didn't really react. I guess he was fine with it.

Ricky told him, "Trust me, LA was horrible enough. American culture is trash but that doesn't mean that we will still keep our guards down in Korea." Ah seems like they both shared the same pain. We all thought America was known for its American dream. However, things change.

I really wondered whether these two were perhaps... bullied? Or they were nitpicked, exposed or what if they vaped, or had boyfriends/girlfriends. I know for sure Matthew never did but I'm aware that Ricky can be wild. What a sin bro. I would never.

I wish I could ask them how did they suffer but I really don't want the air to be gloomy.

"Okay I think we should get working again." Commanded Ricky. Ugh.

We decorated the balloons around my house, made a playlist(Fuck Ricky's music tastes), and even arranged the lightings. About the food, Matthew suggested he'd cook something delicious which we agreed him to do at a condition that he doesn't burn the kitchen.

"So are you done with the invites?" I checked up on Ricky's progress. He showed a thumbs up.

"Hey I think I'm gonna tell you both something." Announced Ricky. Now what?

"Three things." He showed three fingers and asked the both of us to pay attention carefully.

"First things first. Zihao's planning to confess. Matthew if you don't know about this, Haruto and Zihao both like each other." Ricky continued the conversation by informing us this. What? Zihao confessing to Haruto already? Wow, at this point only I'm single. Also, how does Ricky know about Zihao liking Haruto back? Oh wait, I almost forgot they're both Chinese and like really good comrades.

Otherwise, Matthew and I were so happy we couldn't believe our friend was already entering a relationship soon. Both of us high fived each other and then Matthew told him that he already knew about all those stuff.

"Bad news." Ricky then made us drop our smiles. Was it about ahem- Hao hyung? Is he still mad at me? Why do I even care bruh, the only people who like him are his gang and that blind ass Kuanjui. I should also be calling myself blind.

"Well, Junhyeons bringing Taerae. They both just stick together too much." Ah, didn't mind having Taerae around unless he doesn't mention about Hao. Matthew, on the other side frowned. Huh? Why?

"I don't know who Junhyeon is, but I swear to god Taerae and I are very awkward." Matthew commented. Well good for him because I'm also kind of awkward with him. This also reasons why he frowned when I mentioned their names.

"They both should get married already!" I exclaimed out loud, gaining side eyes from both of them. A silence passed by and then Ricky replied, "Even though I hate Taerae's friend group, I really think Zihao and him are alright. I'm only saying this because both my friends are in love with him." This made the two of us nod in agreement.

"Okay time for third news." Ricky announced. Both of our eyeballs settled on his figure. "I'm also bringing my date here." Wait, WHAT. What did he just say? Date? Since when did Ricky start pulling bitches? I know he can be pretty wild but him- dating again? This is crazy! It was supposed to be a party exclusive to our gang, but now lovers are joining in! Party poopers.

At first I didn't mind Taerae because he isn't much of a snob(basically I don't mind having anyone around but Hao and his new boyfriend), but then Ricky- the bitchless friend- getting a girlfriend?! Oh my lord, I guess im going to be the only single and hopeless romantic friend.

Matthew, on the other side, was cheering for him like huh? Does he even know him well? They just met and Matthew- like a stupid idiot started congratulating him by clapping.

"Ahem." I scoffed. Both of them looked at me silently. "Who is the girl? What is she going to do in an all boys party? If you really want her around, why don't you bring another girl along with her?" I started sharing my concerns and thoughts towards Ricky, who then started to burst into laughters. Is he trying to mock me?

"I didn't even tell you who it is." He continued laughing. Wait, was it me with my assumptions again?!

"I'm dating a man what do you mean bring another girl?" He said that out loud, causing Matthew to cough. Huh?! Ricky is bisexual?! The last time he dated someone, he dated a girl in LA who was a gold digger. I suppose he's gay as hell now that he's come here. That's where influence plays a role. I mean, literally all of my friends are gay. I'm gay. I've only liked Hao and a dude back in seventh grade.

I blinked my eyes in disbelief and I sighed. "Fine"

"Now that all three news have been announced, what are we going to do about the gifts?" Matthew initiated the conversation. "Let's go out?" I asked. Ricky told us that he had already prepared his gift so he'll go home to do some work. Understandable.

So it was Matthew and I again, strolling around the nearby marketplace.
