Levi ran through the forest, his heart pounding in his chest. His breath came in ragged gasps as he followed the trail of blood. The air was thick with tension, and his mind raced with questions he couldn’t answer. The blood—thick and heavy—seemed to call out to him, urging him to keep going.
As he followed the trail, a sense of dread began to creep into his bones. The further he went, the stronger the feeling became. Something wasn’t right. It wasn’t until he reached a clearing that he found what he had been dreading—(Name) was lying on the ground, motionless, blood pooling around her body.
Levi’s legs felt weak as his eyes locked onto the sight of her lifeless form. Her engagement ring still glinted on her finger, untouched by the horror around her. His heart stopped. He felt the world crumble beneath him.
"No… no… no, this can’t be real…" Levi whispered, his voice shaking. He collapsed to his knees beside her, his hand trembling as he reached for her lifeless body. "No, no, no… why… why, why, why? Why did this happen to me?" His voice cracked, the pain in his chest too much to bear.
He clutched her cold hand, his mind unable to process the loss. "We were supposed to get married... our future plans... she didn't even get to see that happen... why... why... why is this happening? If only I realized this sooner... if I only noticed my squad members were in danger... if only... if only..." Levi cried, blaming himself for failing to save her, for not being able to prevent the worst outcome.
"What's the point of me being humanity's strongest soldier? What's the point of anything? If I couldn't save the one woman who was the only woman for me... the only person who cares and is there for me... the only person who understands me... what's the point of anything now? What can I do? How can I go on?" Levi was inconsolable, questioning everything about his life, his purpose. He felt completely lost and empty, unable to understand how he could possibly live without (Name).
His fists clenched, and through his tears, he spoke with a burning anger. "I’m going to find that Female Titan... I’m going to make her pay... she took my love, she took my life, and now I will take her life..." Levi’s rage burned bright, fueled by grief, and he swore that nothing would stop him from avenging the death of his fiancée and his squad.
Levi watched as Titan Eren, alongside Mikasa, fought the Female Titan. His heart surged with a mix of anger and determination. The sight of her, the one who had taken everything from him, only made him more furious. Without a second thought, he slashed at her limbs, her arms, legs, torso, and then aimed for her head.
The Female Titan fought back with ferocity, but against the combined strength of Eren, Mikasa, and Levi, she didn’t stand a chance. The battle raged on, and in the end, the Female Titan was finally defeated.
With the battle over, Squad Levi retreated, gathering the fallen comrades’ bodies. Levi moved to where (Name) lay. He couldn’t stop crying, the weight of grief crushing him with each step. He gently lifted (Name)’s body into his arms, and for a long moment, he couldn’t bring himself to let go.
As he held her, Levi glanced down at the engagement ring on her finger, still shining brightly in the light. It was all he had left of her. He couldn’t bear the thought of removing it. "Please, don’t take it off," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "This is the last piece of her I have... the last connection to everything I had with her."
Levi’s heart ached as he held her body, the weight of his loss unbearable. His mind raced with thoughts of what could have been. But there was no going back. She was gone, and there was nothing he could do to change that.
Hange and Erwin tried to comfort him, but the words of solace fell on deaf ears. Levi was too far gone in his grief. His love for (Name) consumed him, and all he could do was hold her hand, the engagement ring still on her finger, and cry.
Later, when Eren learned of (Name)’s death, he was devastated. He had been unconscious for so long that he hadn’t been able to say goodbye. (Name) had been like a big sister to him—kind, gentle, always offering advice and a listening ear. He remembered her words, her encouragement, and her comforting presence. But now, she was gone, and Eren couldn’t help but feel the weight of her loss.
He remembered their conversations about Mikasa and Armin, and how (Name) always paid attention to him. She had always believed in him, and he wished with all his heart that he had been able to say goodbye.
The day came to bury (Name), and Levi didn’t leave her grave for hours. He sat beside it, his heart broken and his mind a whirl of memories. He spoke to her grave, holding the amulet she had given him and looking at the photo inside. He spoke to her as if she could hear him, as if she were still with him.
"I love you," Levi whispered, tears falling freely. "I don’t know how I can live without you. You were everything to me. You were the only person who truly understood me. Please... come back to me."
But (Name) couldn’t answer. And Levi knew that.
Despite his sorrow, Levi found solace in the engagement ring. He kept it close, never letting it leave his side. It was all he had left, and he would hold on to it forever. He would never forget her, and he would never stop loving her.
Levi didn’t know how to move forward. He had always been the strong one, the one who protected others. But now, with (Name) gone, he felt lost. Yet, as he stood by her grave, he made a promise to her in his heart.
"I will protect you, (Name). Even now, I will keep you in my heart forever. And I will make sure that your memory lives on."
With one final look at her grave, Levi walked away, carrying with him the weight of his grief and the love he had for the woman he would never forget.
