Sloane, doing a one-eighty since I last saw her a few days ago, has me wondering if my sister called her after I left her work.
Before leaving Shayla's office, I gave her Sloane's phone number, asking her to call when she had time and see if she could get Sloane to talk to her. I figured if my sister called her first, it would ease Sloane's mind, showing that Shayla wasn't holding a grudge against her for what was said and done to me.
I'd ask if she had, but I'd rather wait and see if Sloane would tell me. I also didn't want her to know I had talked to my sister about her mental health if Sloane was having me bring her to the club on her own.
I have no idea what Sloane has on her mind once we get inside the club, and I won't question what that is. She's going out of her comfort zone, on her own, to please me.
She's trying...
Sloane's hand clenched tighter around mine when the line moved forward. How her hand was gripping mine, I immediately sensed nervousness. Leaning to her ear, I whispered, "Are you okay?"
A nervous yet warm smile stretched her lips when she looked at me. "I'm fine."
Her hand tightened around mine when we stepped forward again.
"Are you sure?" I asked quietly.
"Yes."
I understand this is huge for her, and she's nervous about showing her face again out in the open. However, if she's still uncomfortable being around others, I'd rather we go home so I can work on getting her to understand the accident wasn't her fault.
"We can leave if you're unsure about being here. Just because I enjoy being at this club doesn't mean you have to force yourself to be here with me." Although, I like that she did.
"I don't want to leave," she insisted, looking down, her hand digging into her pocket and removing whatever was inside it as we stepped up to the counter.
"Good evening, Aaron."
"Hello," I greeted, handing her my membership card. "I forgot to have Sloane bring her membership packet along. So, if we could do what you did for us last time I brought her here, I'd be thrilled."
Summer giggled as she looked from me to Sloane.
"What's so funny?"
Sloane stepped forward, handing Summer a familiar-looking card—a membership card to Trent's club.
"I turned it in a couple of days ago," Sloane said, shocking me.
I guess now I know why she's acting nervous. She came here to turn in her membership packet without telling me.
"That's what's funny," Summer laughed. "She's all good to go. All I need is payment, and then you two can go about your business."
I looked at Sloane, grinning, "You're full of surprises tonight, aren't you? What's next? Us going into a room?"
My eyes widened, shocked again by her following admission. "That was the plan." She looked at Summer, shyly saying, "We'll need a room key."
Summer looked at me, lifting a brow. "Which room?"
Sloane blew me away, and I couldn't speak. The first surprise was when she didn't bat an eye when she said she wanted me to bring her to the club. The second shock was learning Sloane went to the club on her own to turn in the membership packet, which also meant she went in to get tested. And now she wants me to take her to a room?
I haven't done anything further in the bedroom with Sloane. Since she's not used to being dominated by her lover, and I was enjoying the closeness and my body rubbing against Sloane's, I stuck with the position she was used to. I figured she'd let me know once she was ready to try something new.
