I should probably should have warned them, but they would have restrained her. If these people are afraid of the Ash’A Jheili, they should run in terror from my sister. Sure, she was the popular girl in school. Sweet, kind, bubbly, ditzy, but she was also the one who tied Black Cats to a rapịst’s, ahem, boys after she knocked him unconscious. She saved the girl before he was able to do anything, but she still burned the word into his forehead and lit the fireworks as they were making their escape.
The police went to the guy’s home and found his trophies. No one questioned who did it. It was obvious from his supplies what he was getting ready to do. Everyone figured he just picked the wrong girl this time. I only knew because she brought the girl home with her.
We helped her disappear and set her up in another state. She’s been “adopted” by our family there. She was 18 and just aged out of foster care. No one said a thing about her disappearance. All his victims were girls who had just aged out of the system. When it comes to defending innocents, Ana gets… evil.
“As an otherworlder and a woman in the medical field, I am appalled and disgusted with what I have witnessed. I have assisted the medical personnel here in the care and treatment of this girl.” The medical team quickly joined her. “The scars from being whipped, cut, burned, beaten, starved, and worked to exhaustion will take a long time to heal. Many will not ever heal.
“The mental scars are worse. Not just the abuse suffered since her abduction, but witnessing the brutal murders of the people she knew as her parents. They were in bed sleeping. Princess Tira was resting across from them in her cubby after a nightmare, only to wake to a worse one. Sagjal LevEkklē knew she wasn’t his but treated her as such anyway.
“They murdered her parents because they can’t have more children of their own. They abused and neglected this child and their own.” The VárSvík went to turn on Sólaeira but the Ash’A Jheili quickly moved her and the baby next to Tira. Gasps of fear fill the people.
“Guess what aṣsholes? These are the royal soldiers and Ash’A Jheili. They have been watching you since you left that wonderful, sweet, beautiful, intelligent little girl in the woods to die AGAIN! They are here to protect innocents and punish evil. You, you will never lay hands on them again!” I swear, there is literal smoke coming from her nose and mouth.“Peter, quickly!” Tiníléí yells. They quickly grab and hug her. She starts calming. They bring her to us. We hug her before Ámathos picks her up like a little girl.
“As otherworlders, the Princess and Inkássa have access to advanced technology and medical knowledge. They intend to help us in many ways. One of these ways is this.” Bellis’s soldiers hold enlarged photos of when we found Tira up for all to see. “Pictures. Actual images of her when she was found by Lereía Lía. Tira was nearly dead.”
This crowd has been fairly quiet in their gasps and angered words until now. The biggest men have been reduced to vomiting in the bushes. X-rays of the broken bones are explained by Kaenaék. The reports on all the blood work are explained by Ana. Everything is shared.
“Hang Them!” Someone yells. A chorus of punishments is called for.
“Peace, my people. Peace, please.” Bellis calls out. “I would love to hand them over to the Ash’A Jheili for punishment, but their trial must be held in the realm they committed the most atrọcities against. That realm is Isilmëmírë.” A hush comes over the audience. “Are there any objections?”
“No.” Choruses through the area.
“Very well then. Lereía Lady Marlow, as the eldest Lereía present, do you take this prisoner into custody for punishment willingly?”
