14:00~Lía~
“We spent six hours there. Can we relax from relaxing?” I whimper, leaning against Jake as we walk towards the main house. Ms. Tish and Miss Gertie are looking around in fascination at the unique homes and landscaping. Miss Gertie has no idea why she’s here. Mr. Fabulous (AKA Mr. Billy) came with me to help her.
They’ve all been friends since childhood. I thought it was an insult when he called them his bịtches. They had to explain it. I laughed when they told me. He was bottling all his excitement inside. I was just waiting for him to explode in glitter. Tira spread her wings and lifted off in front of him.
Then it happened.
“Oh. My. Goood! Look at her wings! She’s so fụcking cuuute! Why are all you kids so ḍamned cute? I could just die! And you’re telling me there’s a whole planet of these cuties? I want to goooo. Tishy, pleeease. I need to goooo.” He tugged at her sleeve and begged like a little one.
“Billy, stop. I’m not in charge or control of that. Besides, don’t you have a show coming up?”
“Oh poo. I’ll leave my minions in charge. Not like it’s Milan or the Met. Everything is set. They just have to make sure the models don’t lose too much weight and make our masterpieces look like trash bags again. Yucky.” I giggle listening to their bickering. I sit exhaustedly on the bench to change my shoes to slippers. House rules for everyone. NO EXCEPTIONS.
“Mr. Billy, I bet our saucíka team would love to meet you. They work heka, I mean magic, into our clothing. We have a metal cloth that’s lighter than silk and bulletproof.” I dangle a little gem in front of him. “These are a common currency.” His eyes grow large as he holds it up to the light.
“So fục…”
“LANGUAGE!” One of the guards yells from the other room, making him scream and jump. He’s very animated.
“Sorry!” He yells. “Is he taken, princess?” He whispers.
“I have no idea.” I giggle.
“You kids go do something. It’s 2 now. We have an outing planned in an hour, then dinner, followed by an early Halloween fair. Tomorrow, there’s a Halloween masquerade at 3 and lasts until midnight. Dinner and activities are included.”
“Okay!” We cheer and head upstairs.
“I still have to try the door and do Sarah’s house. I don’t know what she wants, though.” Tira whimpers. “I can’t do it today.”
“Lía has a drawing of what Sarah was dreaming of. We can get it to you before bed.” Jake says cheerfully. “Tomorrow morning, we can do things. Today, we can relax.”
“Until we can’t.” She groans. “Did you know they told me I can’t fly outside of this property. They said I had to return the drone to the jerk who was looking in our windows with it.”
“What did you do?” I asked her suspiciously.
“I beat it with a thing called a ‘tire iron,’ took this chip thing, tossed it over the fence, then flipped him off like Auntie Amanda taught me.” She smiled innocently. Jake burst out laughing after a minute of stunned silence. We went to play a game and relax.
The outing was a visit to a zoo. I loved all the creatures. The scary ones looked like pets compared to our world. People came over and took pictures with us. Tira was able to calm any scared little ones easily.
It was a little heartbreaking when we went to return a lost little girl. She came up to us and asked for help. The father was grateful and was nice. The mother jerked the girl by her arm, making her cry. I healed her when the father stopped the wicked woman. She started insulting us. It doesn’t matter what planet it is, there’s always horrible people.
