Faemála’s Realm~Ora~
All the stories I’ve heard from Lía and Cara can’t compare. This is the most beautiful and magical place I have ever seen! The actual Goddess, Faemála is standing before me in all her glory. Her skin is a beautiful warm wood color, and her eyes are a beautiful light purple. Her hair shifts with colors of the hottest flames. Cara would call them cold or winter colors. Faemála is surprisingly short for her race, but she is slender with a decent figure. Some day, I hope I look that pretty.
A strange creature sits on her shoulder, making cute noises. This must be the creature Cara calls a macaque monkey. It looks like it’s made of lò. Cara said lò is gold. I think they call her Rose? I heard her story and cried. Losing a family member you love so dear at a young age is…
“OH!” I gasp. The little creature has jumped to my shoulder. She is petting my cheek and making kissing motions. “Hello there, Rose. I am Ora.” Excited chattering comes from her, and she seems to hug me. She quickly buries herself in my hair and lays down. Her long arms and tail are wrapped around me for security, but I still want to be careful.
“She adores you. This is good. Come, meet the little ones and there are some people here who wish to speak with you.” They show me around as we walk to a round white building with a stunning gem on top. Plants and windows cover it in a pretty way. “This is the sanctuary. It was once small, but with all the visitors, I had to make it much larger. Come. They are waiting.”
Faemála guides me inside. A lovely fountain that glimmers sits in the center. Benches surround it, and a small bathing pool seems to surround them. The pool looks to be a new addition. White spiraled beams with ivy growing up them frame the outer wall of the pool. The benches inside the fountain look older and are graced with thick healing moss. Lounge seating and small decorative tables with matching chairs are scattered throughout the great new area.
A hooded figure sits in nearly every seat. Some are as small as a palm doll. They are seated on ivy swings and little wicker chairs on dome of the tables. Others are impossibly large. Their shapes, sizes, and what little I can see of them are shocking. Many of these races no longer exist.
“Come, dear. We should talk. But first, approach.” A tall woman with a deep, gentle voice steps to the side and gestures to a round crib. Cara had to tell me what it was when I saw one in her nursery. I approach and look in at the sleeping bundles. A tug forms in my mind and chest. I only understand the one tug.
“I am Baijika to this one.” I point to the one in our royal colors and pink. I caress her cheek gently. I look over to the big one in royal colors and red and caress its face. It's twice the size of my Baijika bond. Finally, the tiny râs one. What a sweet little thing. It is a third of my Baijika’s size. It is dressed in royal colors and the color of my eyes. “I will protect them all. When other Baijika are found, I will teach them.”
“Is t’e bond different t’an ye expected?” Another asks. I slowly nod my head. I was told we would feel the bond in our minds, but not in our hearts.
"The pull I feel towards the larger one is strange. With my Baijika, I feel happy but sad. It feels like I am with…” I choke on my words and try to hold the tears back. I miss my sáry.
“It is because you are. She is reborn as the future Inkássa. You were never intended to be separated.” The tears slowly roll down my cheeks.
“Frey.” I pick her up and hold her close. Cara’s arms surround us. I look up into her own tear-stained face. “Did you know?” She shakes her head no.
“I only just found out with you. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me, though.” I still feel a tug to the other one. Cara catches my gaze. “He is Zazaj. The tiny girl is Zulzaga.”
