(2 days later)

Foxjin sighs and grabs her pickaxe and bow from the floor, she's going to go looking for resources and distract herself from that guy she’d fought with.
She stands there then opens the door scanning around outside, no other people are around. She wonders if he actually did leave for good or if he's been watching, waiting to talk again... Or attack.
She starts to walk heading out to her second ravine, the wind is blowing her hair more today... Perhaps it will rain soon based on the sky, very different weather from yesterday.
Once she reaches the bigger ravine, she decides to explore it further, then she spots a cave; she hasn't explored yet. She steps into it holding out a torch to see the walls.

Is that light? She wonders, looking at the end of the tunnel, she runs towards it. She blinks in surprise as she comes out on the ledge of a huge ravine even bigger than the one she lives in.

“Woah” she says taking it all in. Without thinking twice, she jumps down into the water and begins covering the lava. When she gets to the last section she looks up and sees something else...

"Mineshaft... no way, this is the best ravine yet” she whispers to herself, “but it's getting dark...” she bites her lip thinking.

She decides to wait until morning and sets up a small base. She goes mining and stocks up on iron and coal to make torches. She heads back to her base then turns to lay down on her bed but there is a skeleton standing on it holding a raised bow.
She screams as she gets jumpscared killing it quickly, she pauses scanning around hoping nothing had heard... she could have let all the dangerous creatures know her location. She lays down to go to sleep still shaking off the cold shock that remains.

I hope no one heard that she thinks.

                               -----

Colder walks towards the village that night, he knows it's a bad idea, but he wants to know more about that person he’d met, quite mysterious... he wants to see if she knows more about the Resistance, or if she’d actually been a member like he assumes.
But as he approaches the ravine where they’d met he's surprised to see no one is around, he would have assumed she would know he was there. He pauses unsure whether he should keep looking or wait for tomorrow. He steps closer to the ravine spotting her little home in the side of the wall, it's dark inside...
He decides to intrude and walks over to the door peering inside, she's not there, the bed is empty.
She’s somewhere else then...
He slowly walks past the ravine away from the village, then he spots light, a torch stuck in the ground. He keeps going straight until he's at the edge of a huge ravine, much bigger than the one she resides near.
Then he notices she's down there, looking around and mining stuff,
He watches her little figure from the top of the ravine. He leans over the edge of the ravine curiously. Suddenly, he hears a witch's cackle. Something smashes into him, and he loses his balance.

“No!” he yells as he falls, the bottom of the ravine rushing up to meet him.

                            -----

Foxjin blinks open her eyes.

It's time, she thinks getting up, making sure she has everything, she puts her enchanted iron armor on and walks out of her base.
She stands on the obsidian looking up at the mineshaft wondering how she’s going to get up to that ledge, then suddenly she hears a groan from above her... a human groan. She spins around and looks up, it's the guy, Mr. Colder she met a few days ago. He's stuck between two ledges in the ravine high above her.

"What are you doing!?” she yells up to him.

“Uh getting stuck!” he yells back down rolling his eyes.
Foxjin sighs, so he's stupid just like... she thinks then pauses pushing the name from her mind as soon as it comes near the surface, she turns to walk away.

“Wait!” Colder yells after her,

She pauses looking back up at where he is,

“Come back!” He yells out loud and struggles, trying to free himself so he can drop down below, but as the rocks come loose, he falls the rest of the way.
“Not again!” He exclaims as he smashes into the ground flat on his stomach.

“Nice landing” Foxjin comments.

Colder pulls himself up with a groan, not an ideal way to meet again...

“You ok?” she asks finally sounding less hostile than when they first met, she doesn't ask him why he was watching her or looking for her in the first place.
He slowly picks himself up making sure he hasn't broken anything, the feather falling on his boots must have protected the worst from happening.
He stares at her; she's wearing armor today only making her appearance more boyish looking.

“Can I trust you?” he asks finally wanting to make sure she won't switch sides on him even though this is only the second time they've met.

“I don't trust you,” she replies, “there's no reason for you to trust me.”

Colder takes that as a yes, perhaps she has trust issues... he does too from the Resistance, but as much as he knows it's just her here.

Foxjin starts to walk away,

“I'm going in the mineshaft” she says.

He stares at it, hidden in the side of the ravine,

“Woah...” he murmurs then he starts to follow her deciding it will be a good opportunity.

"You're coming?” She asks, her violet eyes narrowing almost in suspicion.

“Perhaps,” he replies, “a mineshaft is a lot to explore alone.”

“Hmm... ok” She agrees, Colder stares in surprise not expecting her to want him to come with her, maybe she's studying him too...  She appears neutral about the whole thing, not happy but not too hostile.
She climbs up to the start of the mineshaft, Colder follows her up to the very edge. He puts a hand to his sword ready for anything, he sees Foxjin taking out her bow, they stand there for a moment then together they walk into the mineshaft.
