Foxjin and Colder

Healed and Hurting

Foxjin sees light in the darkness of her mind. She walks toward it, but she discovers it's never-ending, too far away for her to reach. She stops,

 Wake up... she tells herself, just please wake up... She digs her nails into her palms gritting her teeth. Then suddenly there is light, a very blurry light. And she hears a voice say. 

"Why didn't she tell me she was a vessel I would have understood why she didn't trust me.”

Colder, she thinks, and the light blinks back into darkness.

Colder stares at Foxjin still laying there unconscious, her chest rising and falling with every breath, he's been sitting here awhile while Nico stayed outside in the ravine.

“Please wake up I need to talk to you,” he says to her then thinks, that's stupid why did you say that? He hears a knock at the door and spins around,

“Go away Nico!” He yells.

"Colder let me in!” Nico replies.

“No” Colder says grinning as he remembers that old joke they had.

“Aww come on,” Nico says.

“Nooo," Colder yells.

“Bleeegggg on youuu!” Nico yells back,

“Nooo I shall not let you in!” Colder laughs, the tension broken for a moment, but then Foxjin stirs.

“Stop shouting.” her voice says softly, Colder spins around seeing her sitting up staring at him.

“Foxjin” He gasps, "You’re awake?”

“Yeah” she replies, “let Skelly in.”

“Sure, and by the way he’s actually Nico” Colder replies, he walks over to the door and lets Nico in.

“I knew it I soo knew it” Nico yells, “I knew she'd be ok!”

“Yeah, right sure,” Colder grins and Nico laughs. Foxjin stares at them looking back and forth between them.

“Ok so I take it you guys know each other?”

“Oh yeah right this is Nico, and he was my best friend when we were little kids” Colder explains.

“Oh, that makes sense,” Foxjin replies, but she still looks confused, and almost scared.
Colder wants to know what she saw while she was sleeping but he knows she wouldn't tell him anyway.

“You were going to kill me,” she says.

“Huh? No I wasn't” Colder replies.

There's a fire in her eyes, a haunting gaze.

“Yeah right...” she says, “You were gonna kill me like DNAx.”

“Who?” Colder asks not knowing what she's talking about. Who’s DNAx... and why was he going to kill her? He wants to ask her more but all of a sudden she leaps off the bed grabbing her bow and before Colder knows what she’s doing, she runs out the door.
