Foxjin and Colder

Strongholds

Foxjin sits there alone in silence, 

Maybe I am being stupid she thinks, maybe he didn't stick his sword though my head... I don't know, I'm just confused... ugh. she puts her head in her hands.

“Maybe she had a dream about it?” She hears Colder say probably to Skelly, or Nico whatever his name is.

She climbs up into a tree and watches them walking up the stairs and out of the ravine.

“Yeah, makes sense,” Skelly replies, then suddenly they stop walking.

“Ooh what's that” Skelly yells pointing into the ravine excitedly.

“What?” Colder asks peering that direction.

“That!” Skelly says impatiently.

“Oh wow!” Colder says in surprise as he sees whatever it is. Foxjin moves to see what they are looking at, if Colder is that excited about it then it has to be something crazy. There's a boxlike shape sticking out of the ravine.

“It's a stronghold!” Skelly yells, Foxjin stares in total shock, a stronghold? Here? Strongholds are very valuable. You can travel to the End, get resources from the chests inside... plus they are fun to explore and rare to just find out of nowhere like this.
Letting Colder and Skelly explore it alone sounds not enjoyable in any way. Maybe she could put her trust issues behind her just for a moment, it was fine when they explored the Mineshaft...
She makes her choice and leaps down from the tree, she strides back towards the ravine.

Colder sees a speck in the distance getting closer to them as they make their way over towards the stronghold.

“It's her!” Nico yells.

“How do you know?” Colder asks.

“Cuz my skelly sense is stronger than your skelly sense” Nico tells him and he laughs.

Foxjin appears behind them, she’d caught up quickly, Colder stares at her hoping maybe now she's calmed down about whatever hallucinations she had.

“Are we going in that stronghold or not?” Foxjin asks finally.

“How did you know about that?” Colder asks.

“Maybe her skelly sense is stronger than your skelly sense,” Nico suggests.

“Haha" Colder laughs while Foxjin stares in confusion at both of them.

“But mine’s still bestest” Nico adds quickly. 

“Ok let’s go in the stronghold” Colder says, it would be nice to forget about all the worries and Herobrine and the Resistance and the wars.

“Yes!” Nico says excitedly, “I'll stay here.”

“Uh why?” Colder asks in confusion.

“Because” Nico doesn't elaborate, “I just got here and stuff soo...”

“Well yeah but that's ok right Foxjin?” Colder says then turns to look at her, “Uh Foxjin?” he asks looking around, “Where did she go?”

“I see her!” Nico says pointing and there's Foxjin climbing up the side of the ravine towards the stronghold.

“Well, I guess you're coming!” Colder says following Foxjin.

“I hate ravines” Nico sighs as he follows Colder hesitantly to the side of the ravine.

“Foxjin?” Colder asks.

She looks down at them from where she is.

“Guys I think we shouldn't go in there” Nico says suddenly, “my skelly sense is telling me...”

Colder starts to climb anyway following Foxjin, he pulls himself up to where she is.

“Wow...” he says as he stares down into the ravine below, it seems so high up. With the breeze blowing it’s almost nice, peaceful.

“Yeah” Foxjin replies staring down as well. They sit together there for a while, almost as if reaching agreement that they are friends now.

“Why did you really run away, what about me made you” Colder asks her finally.

She stares at him not giving an answer.

“You reminded me of him” she says, “from the Resistance.”

Colder is about to ask her if this person is the DNAx guy she had mentioned when suddenly Nico shouts.

“Guys get up here!” 

He's at the edge of the stronghold, he’d climbed the whole way up in that time. Colder looks at Foxjin deciding he will ask later; they start to climb up again.
