Merged these two chapters because they are short as well.
Zombies and Trapdoors
Foxjin walks in front of Skelly and Colder, she's a little bored of this stronghold and them talking, but it's fine... then all of a sudden she hears a zombie and freezes her arm out to signal stop.
“What is it?” Colder whispers.
“Zombies!” Skelly exclaims.
Foxjin rolls her eyes a bit,
“Now they know we are here,” she mutters.
“Oops” Skelly says putting his hands over his mouth while Colder gives him a look.
The zombie groans get closer and not one but four zombies round the corner, Foxjin tenses but before she can even raise her bow Colder strikes, it happens so quick, he springs forward and suddenly dead zombies are all around him.
Foxjin pauses, she hadn't realized how capable he actually was. Maybe he is a formidable opponent, maybe he hides his true strength.
“Woah that was so cool!” Skelly yells, stepping to the side, he steps on something pressing it down in the floor making a ‘chink’ sound.
“Uh oh,” he looks guiltily at Colder and Foxjin then the ground opens beneath him and he falls into the darkness. Colder and Foxjin run over to the opened gap in the floor.
“Nico!” Colder yells down there, his voice echoes back at him “Nico....Nico...Nico...Nico....Nico.”
“I'm going down there,” Foxjin tells him.
“Careful” he replies looking down uncertainly, it's a long way down there, he can't see the bottom... hopefully it's a soft enough landing.
She pauses probably thinking the same thing, but she jumps landing on something that her feet sinks into, sand? A few moments later Colder lands beside her.
“What?” he asks when he sees her face “I couldn't let my friend go alone.”
“I am not your friend” Foxjin mutters.
Colder decides not to say anything, she crosses her arms over her chest a bit self-defensive, they kinda just stare at each other awkwardly.
“DNAx said he was my friend too” she replies finally.
Colder blinks not expecting that,
“Uh what's going on?” Skelly’s voice asks suddenly as he appears.
“Nothing,” Colder responds quickly.
“HMMMM” Skelly stares at both of them “Keeping secrets got it, well anyways I found something come on!”
Foxjin and Colder look at each other.
“We’ll settle this later” Colder whispers to her, Foxjin nods her head then they turn and run after Skelly to see what he was talking about.
The Witch
“See see!” Nico yells pointing excitedly at a figure standing in a room in the distance. It has a hat and a purple robe, a witch? What is one doing here? The room is set up in a strange way almost like a hideout, not like a stronghold room is usually, potions are smoking on a brewing stand.
“Hehehe the potions are done.” the witch cackles, “you'll be the first to try them!”
“Yas,” a strange raspy voice responds, but it doesn't sound normal at all.
“It sounds almost like...” Colder mumbles trying to place it.
“-A talking zombie?” Nico suggests.
