The enderman shifts as he watches the happy humans around the campfire in their little camp of fun.
Soon it'll all be gone, he thinks, if who he says is here is actually who we need to do this.
He looks around waiting for the signal, he sees a flash and another enderman steps out of the portal, a villager following right behind him, his smile stretched wide like always casting a very unsettling presence even to the enderman watching the camp.
“Jeez this place is way too happy” the enderman says to the deep red enderman who is standing there.
“Yes,” the red enderman hisses back.
The villager grins even wider, his eyes in slits, the moonlight and shade from the trees is casting shadows over his robes, he looks out at all the players longingly.
“Control yourself” the red enderman warns him “me and Powie have got this,” he gestures to the other enderman still crouched there in the bushes spying.
“Yes,” the villager says softly “we have seen him, he is here, just like I hoped.”
Who? the younger enderman wonders, his red eye narrowing even more, results from a Redstone accident long ago in the end.
“Yes, yes I know but we will destroy their camp first, then we can take them prisoner,” the red enderman says.
“Oh Erebus” the villager said silkily “I don't listen to you, last time I checked you couldn't even beat a measly player.”
The red enderman shakes with fury but manages to stay silent,
“Just because I failed to destroy him doesn't mean I will fail to destroy these pests” he replies.
“Fail once, succeed twice” the shorter enderman whispers to himself “the rule of Redstone.”
“Shush,” the other enderman snaps at him.
“Loosely organized” the villager comments, both the enderman look down at his gray blue robe.
“How about this-” the taller enderman starts to suggest.
“No,” the villager whispers, “no one stops me, I have the plan, and you will get what you want out of this.”
The two lock gazes seemingly at odds for a moment while the other keeps observing.
“Yes, do what you wish,” the red enderman agrees finally and the villager disappears back into the red tainted portal, it closes behind him.
“Why do we listen to him,” the smaller enderman asks cautiously.
“Because he is much more powerful than us” the older says.
“Him? He’s just a villager with a scary grin,” the younger says getting up to stand by him, all the players are now getting up from the fire and going into the base they have.
“He has abilities” the other says, “make sure not to question him.”
“Why not...” the shorter dares to ask.
“Because the smiling man has a nasty habit of torturing his prisoners,” the other says simply.
“We aren't prisoners,” the shorter replies.
“That doesn’t mean he can't hurt us,” he sighs “We will get all the power we want out of this, just wait for him to finish his games.”
“And then?”
“Then we can destroy them all, do whatever we want, get the revenge and power we both deserve...”
