When I woke up this morning, I felt my phone vibrate on my back. I rolled to the side, but ended up falling on the ground which made a really loud sound. I let out a hiss and got up with a hand on my back to look for my phone. I opened one eye and observed my bed. My phone vibrated again, I saw where the movement was and took it to see who texted me so early in the morning. I saw the name Jacob pop up on my screen and I threw it back on my bed, It was too early to answer him.
I made myself something to eat and turned in the television in my living room. When I finished making my food, I sat on the couch and observed what was on the screen in front of me. While eating and watching some show, I heard my phone ring from the other room. I didn't know who it could be, but I thought that it was probably Jacob, who else? I let it ring and continued my breakfast. My tutoring lesson with him wasn't until in the afternoon, so there wasn't any reason why I would need to talk to him right now. He's my friend, but what he added with his good night text last night made me feel odd.
After a while of enjoying the food I made for myself, I washed the dishes and went to my room to get my phone. I didn't look at the screen until I was back on my couch. I saw a number that I didn't recognize and questions filled my head. I was curious, so I clicked on the number to call the person. It rang for about three times until someone picked up, someone with a gorgeous voice. "Hello." The guy said. My whole body melted, I lived his voice. "Hello, well, you called me and I was wondering who you were and what you wanted from me." I managed to say. I heard the guy hum on the other side of the call, probably trying to remember who he had called.
"Oh! Yes, you are Y/n, right?" He said loudly. I had to pull the phone a little from my ear, his voice was quite loud. "Yes, who's asking and why?" I told him. "I'm Heeseung, Jacob told me that you were helping him with school, I thought I could ask you for help too." He said. My heart moved from the middle of my chest to the bottom of my feet. I stared at the white wall behind my television and didn't talk for awhile. "Hello?" He said in my ear. I shook my head and took a deep breath. I asked him which subject he wanted help with while continuing to stare at my beautiful plain wall. "English." He answered. I nodded even if he couldn't see me, but he heard my little hum. We talked about where and when we could make the tutoring lessons before hang up.
My heart started to beat as fast as it could, possibly more, but I calmed it down by changing the direction of my eyes from the wall to the television. I relaxed so much that my head was now on the cushions behind me and my eyes closed by themselves. Before I could stop it, I fell asleep with the sound of the television on.
"You know, I could always help you." I said with a small high pitch voice.
"I'm good, thanks." A little boy's voice said. He had his nose in a book that looked like a textbook from primary school. His eyes were looking all over the two pages and he looked stressed and in distress. The pen in his hand was moving, stopping and moving again. Before he could continue, I took his book and stared at him.
"What? Give it back" he said.
"I know it difficult for you to learn English, that's why I'm going to help you." I said with a big smile, showing the gaps in between my teeth because of the tooth fairy. He looked at me with daggers in his eyes for a good 5 seconds until his eyes turned soft and he let out a big sigh. He nodded and my smile became bigger. I could see that he was annoyed, but the corner of his lips went up a little. My heart began to beat loudly and I panicked, scared that he would hear it.
I placed my hand on my chest and looked at his face while he was looking at something else. He looked like he didn't hear it so I straighten my back and tapped his shoulder. He turned around and I pointed to the textbook. He understood and took his pen back in his hand. We both looked at the words in front of us and I explained while he listened. When he was writing words in the book, I stole a glace at him, he looked so cute while he was concentrated.
My phone woke me up because of the loud noise it was doing. I looked at the little screen in front of me and saw that Jacob had called and texted me several times over the last 30 minutes. I was confused and looked at the time. It was 30 minutes late to our lesson. I panicked, turned off the television and left my apartment in a hurry. I hoped that he would forgive me for falling asleep, but I don't forgive myself for dreaming about Heeseung, again.
