The gym? Really?

I kept reading news about him when I woke up. I couldn't believe any of this was real, him being in the hospital or him dating someone. After some time, I had to stop and go back to my normal life without him and it was perfect timing because school was restarting. I spent my days studying and learning new things that I would hate normally, but they didn't bother me this time. With all these things in my head, Heeseung started to fade away and I was finally at peace.

I was writing something for school in a coffee shop near my apartment when a group of boys went to the table next to me. They sat around it and ordered drinks. They started talking kind of loud and I had to put on my earphones to not hear them. Just when I was staring my music, I heard them say a name in particular. I froze and listened to them without realizing it. "Poor him, those rumours are not good for him." One said. "Yeah, but who started the girlfriend one? He's never near a girl if it's not for work." Another said. "So, he doesn't have a girlfriend?" One of the guys said. "Nope."

My heart was as light as the clouds at that moment. I was happy, but I forced my smile to fade and played my music. I finished writing my thing and sent it to my teacher and left the coffee shop. I went back to my place and changed into sport clothes. Once again, I left my apartment, but this time, I went to a gym close by. It wasn't my first time going, but it was the first time that a lot of people was there. The gym was crowded and I almost went home. The only thing that kept me in that building was that there was an ad about Heeseung right outside.

I worked out for about an hour and decided to stop after. I was walking to the entrance when someone bumped into me. He was wearing a cap and a mask, weird for working out. I turned around to apologize, but before I could do so, the guy did. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." He said. I told him that it was alright and when I was about to leave, I saw a bunch of people in front of the gym. I turned to him and gave him a questioning look. He understood and took off his cap and mask. When I saw his face, my whole body froze and my eyes became bigger.

"I just wanted to work out." He told me with a smile. I just stood in front of him with my mouth open. "Oh, I saw you somewhere before." He continued. I just looked at him. "You're the girl that was at Jeju island?" He asked. I nodded and looked away. "I don't know if you remember my name, but it's Heeseung." He said. I looked back at him and smiled, I tried. After this, he put back his cap and mask and left. I looked at him walk away from me, once more. Turning the other, I ran outside the building. When I was far enough, I stopped and breathed.

I was really close to my apartment and continued to run to it when I had gotten enough rest. I slammed my front door open and closed it with the same attitude. I went to my bedroom to scream into my pillow, he remembered me from the vacation and not his childhood? Why? And why does he keep appearing everywhere? I had to shake my head to shake away these thought too. They had to go away someday, and I hope that it would be today. I will do anything to forget him, to forget what he did to me. Even if I was the one that went away.
