Calico Jack and Kwazii were visiting a tropical island "Okay so this is the next island we have to check..." kwazii said... Calico Jack and kwazii were checking Islands for new creatures, for Shellington... they meet a friendly monkey who offers to show them around. Kwazii decides to follow the monkey, but he accidentally knocks over a sacred statue that angers the local tribe...
the members of the tribe glared at kwazii, and were about to Attack, when Calico Jack got kwazii out of there sight... but slapped him... Calico Jack didn't see that he left a claw mark, or that he had his claws out...
Kwazii felt a sharp pain on his cheek, and touched it with his paw. He saw blood on his fur, and looked at his grandfather in shock. "Granddad, you... you scratched me!" he cried.
Calico Jack was too angry to notice what he had done. He was holding the broken pieces of the statue, and his face was red with fury. "You little scallywag! Do you have any idea what you've done? You've insulted the tribe, and endangered our lives! You're always getting into trouble, and never listening to me! You're nothing but a nuisance!" he shouted.
Kwazii felt a surge of anger and hurt. He couldn't believe his grandfather would say such things to him. He loved him more than anyone, and looked up to him as his hero. He thought they were having fun, exploring the island and meeting new friends. He didn't mean to knock over the statue, it was an accident. He wanted to explain, but his grandfather wouldn't listen. He felt like he didn't belong, like he was unwanted and unloved.
He turned away from his grandfather, and ran towards the monkey, who was waiting for him at the edge of the jungle. "Come on, Kwazii, let's go! I'll show you something amazing!" the monkey said, smiling.
Kwazii followed the monkey, without looking back. He didn't care where he was going, he just wanted to get away from his grandfather. He felt tears in his eyes, and a lump in his throat. He wished he had never come to this island.
Calico Jack watched Kwazii disappear into the jungle, and felt a pang of regret. He realized he had gone too far, and that he had hurt his grandson. He looked at the scratch on Kwazii's cheek, and felt a wave of guilt. He loved Kwazii more than anything, and he was proud of him for being brave and adventurous. He only wanted to protect him, and teach him how to be a good pirate. He didn't mean to hurt him, it was a mistake. He wanted to apologize, but Kwazii wouldn't listen. He felt like he had failed, like he was a bad grandfather.
He dropped the pieces of the statue, and ran after Kwazii, calling his name. He hoped he could catch up with him, and make things right. He wished he had never yelled at him.
Kwazii ran quickly, the monkey showed him a pretty lake, before it left the area... kwazii walked around it... until he fell into a pit...
Of snakes...
Kwazii screamed as he fell into the pit, landing on a pile of writhing snakes. He felt sharp fangs sink into his skin, injecting venom into his veins. He tried to fight them off, but there were too many. He felt dizzy and weak, and his vision blurred. He thought he was going to die.
Calico Jack heard Kwazii's scream, and followed the sound. He reached the lake, and saw the pit. He looked inside, and saw Kwazii surrounded by snakes. He felt a surge of fear and panic. He grabbed a vine, and swung down into the pit. He kicked and slashed at the snakes, trying to reach Kwazii. He managed to grab him, and pull him out of the pit. He carried him to the shore, and laid him down. He saw the bite marks on his body, and the blood on his fur. He felt a wave of sorrow and guilt. He took out his first aid kit, and tried to treat Kwazii's wounds. He hoped it was not too late.
Kwazii opened his eyes, and saw his grandfather's face. He felt a mix of pain and relief. He wanted to say something, but he couldn't speak. He coughed up blood, and closed his eyes again.
Calico Jack saw Kwazii's eyes close, and felt a tear roll down his cheek. He hugged him, and whispered in his ear. "I'm sorry, Kwazii. I'm so sorry. I love you, lad. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. Please, don't leave me. Please, stay with me." He prayed for a miracle, and hoped that Kwazii could hear him.
Calico Jack searched his first aid kit but found he didn't have any Anti-Venom... he quickly sounded the octo-alert on his octo-watch and called for help... "Peso and I are on our way to you" Barnacles said from the octo-watch... before the call turned off...
Calico Jack looked at kwazii as he heard him starting to gasp...
Calico Jack held Kwazii's paw, and tried to calm him down. He saw his fur turn pale, and his breathing become shallow. He knew he didn't have much time. He wished Peso and Barnacles would hurry up. He felt helpless and hopeless.
Kwazii felt a cold sensation in his chest, and a burning pain in his veins. He knew he was dying. He wanted to tell his grandfather that he forgave him, and that he loved him. He wanted to say goodbye. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out. He felt his grandfather's grip on his paw, and squeezed it back. He smiled weakly, and closed his eyes.
Calico Jack saw Kwazii's smile, and felt a surge of emotion. He smiled back, and kissed his forehead. He whispered in his ear. "You're a brave pirate, Kwazii. You're a good pirate. You're my pirate. I'm proud of you, lad. I'm proud of you." He hoped that Kwazii could hear him.
He heard the sound of the Gup-X approaching, and looked up. He saw Peso and Barnacles jump out of the Gup, and run towards him. He felt a glimmer of hope, and waved at them. He shouted. "Over here! Hurry! It's Kwazii! He's been bitten by snakes! He needs anti-venom! Please, help him! Please, save him!"
Peso came over to kwazii, checking on him, Kwazii's breathing became more shallow, as Peso got his medical kit, and gave him anti-venom.... "He was bitten by alot of snakes... we need to bring him to the octopod..." Peso said...
Barnacles nodded, and helped Calico Jack lift Kwazii into the Gup-X. He saw the fear and worry in Calico Jack's eyes, and tried to reassure him. "Don't worry, Calico Jack. We'll get Kwazii to the octopod as fast as we can. He's a strong pirate, he'll pull through." He hoped he was right.
Peso sat next to Kwazii, and monitored his vital signs. He saw the anti-venom slowly working, but he also saw the damage the venom had done. He knew Kwazii was in critical condition, and that he needed more treatment. He prayed for Kwazii's recovery.
Calico Jack held Kwazii's paw, and stroked his fur. He saw the pain and weakness in Kwazii's face, and felt a surge of love and regret. He wished he could take back his words, and his actions. He wished he could make Kwazii happy, and healthy. He whispered in his ear. "I'm sorry, Kwazii. I'm so sorry. Please, forgive me. Please, wake up. Please, don't leave me." He hoped that Kwazii could hear him.
they reached the octopod, they put kwazii into the medical bay... Kwazii coughed, Calico Jack looked at him, kwazii coughed again "Grandpa...?" Kwazii managed to say, weakly, he opened his eyes...
Calico Jack heard Kwazii's voice, and felt a surge of joy and relief. He looked at him, and saw his eyes open. He smiled, and hugged him. "Kwazii! You're awake! You're alive! Oh, thank goodness! I was so worried about you!" he exclaimed.
Kwazii felt his grandfather's embrace, and felt a mix of happiness and pain. He smiled, and hugged him back. "Granddad... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to... to cause trouble... to make you angry..." he whispered.
Calico Jack shook his head, and kissed his cheek. "No, no, Kwazii. Don't be sorry. It's not your fault. It's my fault. I'm the one who should apologize. I was wrong. I was cruel. I hurt you. I'm so sorry, lad. I'm so sorry. Can you ever forgive me?" he asked.
Kwazii nodded, and wiped his tears. "Of course, Granddad. Of course I forgive you. You're my grandfather. You're my hero. You're my friend. I love you, Granddad. I love you." he said.
Calico Jack smiled, and wiped his tears. "I love you too, Kwazii. I love you too. You're my grandson. You're my pride. You're my joy. I'm proud of you, Kwazii. I'm proud of you." he said.
They hugged each other, and felt their hearts heal. They knew they had made a mistake, and they had learned a lesson. They knew they had a bond, and they had strengthened it. They knew they had each other, and they were grateful for it.
The End.
