Just as Barnacles and Peso were about to complete their mission, a sudden tremor shook the ocean floor. The peaceful waters turned turbulent, and a massive underwater rockslide began. Barnacles quickly assessed the situation, but before he could react, a large boulder dislodged and struck Peso, pinning him against the seabed.
"Peso!" Barnacles shouted, his voice filled with panic. He swam to his friend, using all his strength to move the boulder. Peso was conscious but in severe pain, his breathing shallow and labored.
"We need to get you back to the Octopod," Barnacles said, his voice steady but urgent. He carefully lifted Peso, making sure not to aggravate his injuries. The journey back was fraught with danger as the aftershocks of the rockslide continued to shake the ocean.
Barnacles activated his communicator. "Shellington, prepare the med bay! Peso's injured, and we need immediate assistance!"
As they swam, Barnacles kept talking to Peso, trying to keep him conscious. "Hang in there, Peso. We're almost home. Just a little further."
Peso's eyes fluttered open. "Captain... I'm sorry... I slowed us down."
"Don't you worry about that," Barnacles replied, his voice firm. "You're the bravest medic I know. We're going to get through this together."
