One day, kwazii was chasing his yarn ball, when he stepped on something, Tweak's new device, a a device that can create holograms of any creature.

Kwazii picked it up as barnacles and tweak walked into the room... 

"Kwazii, what have you done?" Barnacles exclaimed, seeing the broken device in Kwazii's paws.

"It was an accident, captain. I swear!" Kwazii said nervously.

"An accident? Do you know how long I worked on that device? How much it cost? How important it was for our research?" Tweak said angrily, snatching the device from Kwazii.

"I'm sorry, Tweak. I didn't mean to break it. I was just playing with my yarn ball and I didn't see it." Kwazii said apologetically.

"Playing with your yarn ball? Is that all you ever do? Don't you have any interest in science or exploration?" Tweak said sarcastically.

"Of course I do, Tweak. But I also like to have some fun sometimes. You know, like a pirate." Kwazii said defensively.

"A pirate? You're not a pirate, Kwazii. You're an Octonaut. And as an Octonaut, you have a responsibility to respect the equipment and the mission." Barnacles said sternly.

"I do respect the equipment and the mission, captain. But I also respect my heritage and my spirit. I'm a descendant of Calico Jack, the greatest pirate who ever sailed the seven seas. And he taught me to live by the pirate code: to be brave, adventurous, and free." Kwazii said proudly.

"Free to do what? To cause trouble and damage? To endanger yourself and others? To disobey orders and rules?" Barnacles said disapprovingly.

"No, captain. To follow my heart and my dreams. To seek out new horizons and treasures. To make friends and enemies. To have fun and excitement. To be a pirate." Kwazii said passionately.

"Kwazii, I understand that you have a different background and personality than the rest of us. And I appreciate your enthusiasm and courage. But you have to learn to control your impulses and think before you act. You can't just do whatever you want, whenever you want, without considering the consequences. You have to be more careful and responsible. You have to be more like an Octonaut." Barnacles said calmly.

"More like an Octonaut? More like a boring, dull, and predictable Octonaut? No, thank you, captain. I'd rather be a pirate. A fun, wild, and adventurous pirate. And if you don't like it, then maybe I don't belong here. Maybe I should just leave." Kwazii said defiantly.

"Kwazii, don't say that. You're part of the team. You're part of the family. We don't want you to leave. We just want you to be more careful and responsible. We just want you to be more like an Octonaut." Barnacles said sincerely.

"Sorry, captain. But I can't be something I'm not. I can't be more like an Octonaut. I can only be more like a pirate. And if that means I have to leave, then so be it. Goodbye, captain. Goodbye, Tweak. Goodbye, Octonauts." Kwazii said sadly, dropping his yarn ball and running out of the room.

"Kwazii, wait! Come back!" Barnacles and Tweak shouted, but it was too late. Kwazii was gone.

Kwazii swam far away into the ocean, soon finding Calico Jack, who invited him to help search for some endangered animals, kwazii nodded, and followed his grandfather.
