The Two Crowns || Seungjin

Chapter 1

3RD PERSON'S POV:

Kim Seungmin; the only prince of Lucerna, was sleeping peacefully in his royal chamber.

The window had been a crack open, allowing the night breeze to slip through and enter into the serene atmosphere.

However, the peace would soon come to an abrupt end.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

The door shouted as the fierce and loud sounds of knocks echoed off the chamber's walls.

The prince groaned in annoyance, he squirmed in the soft covers, hoping the sound was just a figment of his imagination.

But the double doors suddenly bursted open, revealing a panicked servant boy dashing into the room, and hurrying over to the sleeping prince.

"Your Highness! Wake up wake up!", screeched the boy.

Seungmin; who was sleeping just peacefully a few seconds ago, awoke from the distressed screams of the latter.

"Ugh, what is it Jeongin? Why and how are you even awake at this ungodly time?", the prince said as he bought his hand up to rub open his sleepy eyes.

"There has been an intruder in the palace and your family is interrogating them right now! You must report immediately!", the servant boy explained.

"Gosh it's like two in the monring...why now?!", Seungmin thought.

"Fine. Where's the interrogation taking hold?", he asked.

"The throne room your highness.", the latter answered.

Seungmin nodded, he slipped off his covers and hopped off his bed. He walked towards Jeongin, who was waiting impatiently near the door.

"Your highness...aren't you going to change?", Jeongin questioned, confused as to why Seungmin was about to walk out still with his nightwear on.

The prince scoffed at the boy's question.

"I don't think a sudden and unscheduled interrogation would need me all dressed up. It's not like I'm going to a royal conference.", said Seungmin.

"And for the millionth time, just call me Seungmin hyung when we're alone.", Seungmin reminded.

Jeongin nodded obediently, as he followed the prince out the door.

"P-please don't hurt me! I'm not here to hurt the royal family!", the so-called intruder begged on his knees.

The man's head was suddenly shoved to the floor, while his hands were restricted with a rope tightly around his back.

"Yeah right, then why were you sneaking around on palace grounds in the middle of the night?", the guard commented.

Sitting in front of the intruder, sat the royal family of Lucerna. The King, Queen, and Prince Seungmin were all seated comfortably but tiredly on their thrones.

"That's enough! Let the fellow speak.", ordered the King.

Seungmin gulped, his father was surely intimidating.

The guard nodded as he lifted the person up from the floor,
"Explain yourself.", the guard repeated.

"I-I'm a messenger! I was sent to deliver a word here from the Kingdom of Atra!", the man cried out.
